Yay! That episode great :) Fiiiinally things are starting to happen.

Finally Mara's back to being herself. Finally Duke isn't being silly anymore and has snapped out of it - although ugh that black stuff is alarming. Is he just an aether making machine now? My theory that Nathan will end up killing him after all grows more and more likely by the minute.

[PS - when's William coming back? He's died on TVD so it should be any minute right? I really feel like he fell through that big thinny hole to Mystic Falls and now he's died there he's coming back ;P]

Nathan and Audrey being a team and investigating was great - loved the moment the walked in on Dwight and Charlotte. All 'we have arrived to end your party!'

Oh Dwight - hugs for Dwight - finally finds a girl and she's super duper old. Eh - maybe they can still make it work. And hugs for Audrey cause she's really looking sick and weaker by the second. Poor loves.

That bit at the end though when Charlotte asks Nathan to hand her the ring and he can feel her and she's all 'I'm your mother.' I was all *nod nod* yes, we know. But then, wait - whose mother are you? Mara's, Audrey's, or Nathan's? Or all three?

Meh, I don't care. I'm still fine with it. Naudrey are much too adorable and meant to be to be kept apart by some potential blood relationship.
