really excited for three quarters of the qsmp 2 cast to stop playing after a week

qsmp was like. one of the servers of all time. yayy language learning andd community and here have these admin-played tamagotchies to care for to bring you together. uh oh you're attached to these tamagotchies and are having irl nightmares about them dying ok! let's have em stick around :] but also ☝️ let's have other admins play monsters that specifically exist only to kill your children. and will do so in ten seconds if you go afk at the wrong time. so you're working hours a day to keep these kids alive to the point two of you pass out on stream from the effort because that's a fine and normal thing to do to your players right

and all of you bond so closely over the trials this server puts you through and you meet up and party and have never felt so alive and full. you are family, you and each other and these tamagotchi admins. now what hammers do we have. ok *hits you with an election arc designed to try and tear you apart, which the fandom never fully recovers from* *takes the tamagotchis you see as your children away for six months* *introduces several plotlines for no reason that go nowhere* *sends you all to purgatory* *while theoretically it's a mystery server it's also meant to last three years so You can't actually solve anything and every chance you get to try turns out to be a red herring, and the Admins' twitch channel is where all the plot progression happens, your characters rendered helpless*

and then uh oh two of the server's most beloved members turn out to be jackasses and get banned. and then uh oh ! turns out one of the head admins - above the ones who play your kids - has been embezzling funds and oh almost no funds were going to your kids for their 4-8 hours of work a day the last ten months anyway and uh oh a head admin has also been banning your kids' admins and replacing them for no reason other than a power trip. and apparently the guy running this just didn't know any of that was happening because he had no role in the behind the scenes work other than by name

and then the server ends. and it fucks y'all up for ages because your jokes about needing therapy for the server stopped being jokes around month three. and you still care for these people and you still care for your kids but they're not your kids and the home the server was is gone in a way you can't get back

and then two years later fucking quackity decides he's going to drag the server's name through the mud further; remaking this server about humanity and community and connection and, in no particular order, using ai art to advertize it, inviting a person who's close friends with an open nazi and "neutral on" ice, and an apparently known transphobe to the server, all showing the exact same clear carelessness he's supposed to have spent the last two years learning from. I need to bite something

Imagine being excited for qsmp2 when there’s a literal nazi adjacent person (so aka a nazi, WHO EVEN BEYOND THAT IS ALSO NEUTRAL ON ICE BTW) on the server, they’re using stolen ai generated content for their creator announcements when they’ve been teasing the server for months, and there’s been zero word from anyone about the horrific admin abuse that happened on the last iteration, let alone any compensation for it

Also remembering when the iDOTS and VelvetFrost would just start roleplaying skephalo on Twitter. Changing their entire accounts to be like "heyyyy badboy lets make out” "Ok mwuha muahhhh you're soooo hot" “wer baking muffins later heh” then Skeppy and Bad would show up and reply “o.O” every time
