What is the purpose of this blog?
Inspired by similar blogs that have spawned recently, I want to find out if Tumblr users have read (to completion or at least partially) popular manga titles.
I will be starting this blog with a combination of anilist's ranking of most popular manga titles and I will be accepting submissions as well. One-shots will also be included. I will also include Korean, Chinese and Taiwanese titles.
Blog clarifications
Titles will be mostly listed according to the official English translated titles, there will be with exceptions if the original Japanese is more well known or redundant.
This blog will exclude titles that have begun their release less than three years ago, I don't want to include series that are too far away from completion, and I think this time is reasonable to judge whether or not they have been read.
Posts will be tagged by author, publisher, demographic, the decades a series' release took place in, as well as whether they've been completed or not, purely for cataloguing purposes.
Submission rules
Please list the FULL name of the manga, include spelling quirks if there are any, and the author/s (include writer AND artist)
Initial release must be at least three years old
Please do not send more than five titles at a time, and wait a couple of days before sending another ask, let's give everyone a chance to see their request posted.
Voting guide
Please vote "yes" if you have read the work in full or most of it.
For ongoing releases, you may vote "yes" if you are up to date with released chapters or are somewhat following the release. These situations are inevitably ambiguous so don't think too hard about the answer.
Vote "no" If you've seen the anime adaptation (or source material) but have not read any of the manga.
If you started a series by watching an anime season but continued to read the manga until completion I deem as acceptable to vote "yes".
The "partially" option is meant to cover most situations in which you have not completed the manga, be it because you are currently reading it it, you have paused your reading and intend to continue it in the future, or if you have decided to drop it entirely.
If you read one or two chapters and don't consider this enough, you can vote "no"
