Some comparisons between two copies of the De Arte Venandi Cum Avibus, falconry treaty written by Holy Roman Emperor Frederick II.

On the left the vatican copy (ms Pal.Lat. 1071), commissioned by Manfred, son of Frederick II, and probably made during his kingdom (1258-1266). On the right a french translation (ms Français 12400), commissioned by Jean, lord of Dampierre and Saint-Dizier, and his daughter Isabelle in the late 13th century.
