Can we talk about how blatantly fear-mongering this message is?

First of all the above article starts in response to a porn hub ad that was posted in New York. What followed was this movements effort to then turn around the ad campaign such as.
The first picture I see is of a man and the caption "#everybodydoesit" and the response to this is to change the caption to "#realmendontneedporn". Well that sounds a little one sided.
Porn Hub: "Wanted: One handed touch typists"
PornKillsLove: "Ladies want: Men who don't have porn induced erectile dysfunction."
Now correct me if I am wrong, but masturbation can be done with one hand by both genders, Yes? So PornHub's add seems to be targeting everyone. PornKillsLove's add seems kind of like an attack. Not on porn hub... but on men.
So let's take a wild guess and say that PornKillsLove is assuming (not wrongly) that men are the primary consumers here.
Now let's also take a look at a recently released movie loved by (almost) all.
Now, If this movie taught women around the world anything, it's that you can be strong, independent, and don't need no man. At least that's what everyone exiting the theater was shouting. So why is it okay when a women doesn't need a man, but not acceptable for a man to not need a women. In fact if a man finds something that makes him happier than any women, is it our place to shame him for it?
Just questions I thought needed to be posed. But the overall message I want to get out there is this.
Maybe we should stop telling everyone that they "need" love. That they need that other person to validate their existence in life. Not everyone is going to find it. When some realize that they can't find it, we as a society shouldn't be little them and say there's something wrong with them and the things they do to make themselves feel a little more human.
I'm writing this for the 30-something single woman working on her masters degree that feels she has nothing to show because she's not coming home to a loving husband. Or the single Mom working two jobs to support a child while simultaneously feeling alone because she's never had a true relationship. How bout the 19 year old college student taking pills to find happiness because she believes she's not pretty enough find love and be "normal."
There's a lot more problems in the world than "PornKillingLove". Number one being that Love is no longer found, it's sold.
Whatever and whoever that is, Love Yourself.
You may never have love with another human being, and that's okay. You don't need that to validate who you are. Love Yourself.
