“Resene colour of fashion” In 2017 I was lucky enough for my design to get chosen out of 40 applicants to be shown at NZ Fashion Week. This dress is made out of a silk sari. I pleated the skirt myself and made a tiered petticoat to create the bell shape of the skirt.

I made a jacket inspired  by Japanese “sukajan” Jackets. These Jackets were originally bought by American soldiers stationed in Japan as souvenirs for their families and were commonly made out of silk from old parachutes.

I made this Jacket out of a vintage kimono and made the samurai cat on the back. My brother is the model in the pictures.
