Hello, I'm a big fan of Hazbin Hotel! Haz been in the fandom since 2018 and I really wanted to do my own spin on the show once it came out. Despite what it looks like, I'm not trying to 'fix' the show. It may be flawed, but it has a special place in my heart!! 💖 Read pinned and have fun!

Hello and welcome to my Hazbin Hotel Reimagined Blog!!!

A blog about my ideas for Hazbin that didn't get explored in the show, and also changing some aspects of it that I just didn't vibe with.

Despite being critical of the writing, this is NOT made with the goal to 'fix' the series!!! I love putting my own twists and headcanons into characters I like, so this is more of a writing exercise AU than anything else!

I will not be giving opinions on Viv or anyone in the production because I judge shows on their standalone merit. And while Hazbin has flaws, I am still a fan! Regular uploads will start once I am fully caught up with season 2.

🦋🗡️ Vaggie's Relationships! 🗡️🦋

Charlie, Alastor, The Carmines, Lute

🗡️🦋 Vaggie + Charlie🍎✨

Vaggie always prioritizes the job she's assigned to, a manager at heart, she finds a way to maximize efficiency even if it's just walking to the kitchen or brushing her teeth. She enjoys streamlining tasks and presenting reports, but she isn't a leader, or a creative for that matter. The complete opposite of hell's princess. ↓↓↓

Charlie is always buzzing with new ideas to run through her, so Vaggie has an outlet and is never bored! Her best friend is always so welcoming, generous and affectionate with her, she decided to focus all her attention towards helping her hotel to try and repay her any way she can.

Hopefully that way she can not only return the kindness she received, but atone for all the lives she erased. She has to make that hotel successful, she doesn't deserve rest or indulgence. Even if Charlie's many pleas are starting to sway her... She doesn't deserve to be in love yet.

🗡️🦋 Vaggie + Alastor 🦌🥩

She sees Alastor for the danger he is, projecting all her prejudice for sinners on him, and he doesn't seem interested in proving her wrong. Both of them take out their individual frustrations onto one another when interacting, and it sure seems like they bring out the worst in each other.

Maybe one day all the hostility will loop back to vulnerability. For who, though, it's hard to say.

In this ver, Vaggie was the one to seek out a way to defend the hotel, and makes a deal with Alastor. In exchange for arranging a meeting with the mysterious weapons dealer, there would be a moment in time when she has to stand down and not interfere with his plans. No matter if Charlie is involved or not.

🗡️🦋 Vaggie + The Carmines 🌆🔪

The exorcist fell because she spared a sinner, but that sinner wasn't just anybody, but Carmilla Carmine's youngest daughter. She was the one who witnessed Vaggie be maimed and the first to bring up the angelic steel hypothesis to her mother. Nowadays she just has a biiiig crush on her.

Carmilla feels indebted, which is why she was willing to hear her out at all, but still wanted to test her motives through a fight. When they were sparring, she saw a lot of drive, ambition, and personal similarities in her, which swung her decision at the end.

After the weapons debacle, she treats Vaggie like an adopted daughter, inviting her to events and dinners and overall accepting her into the family. Since angels don't have culture like humans do, she began to absorb the Carmines' spanish heritage, often expressing it through cursing, but she's learning!

🗡️🦋 Vaggie + Lute🪽🔪

All the exorcists were created specifically for the exterminations, and Vaggie was the strongest and fastest, making her captain and representative of the military branch(Adam has nothing to to with the actual fighting) Her and Lute were part of a trio of childhood friends who fell apart after Vaggie's fall.

Although Lute knew she could turn a blind eye and they'd both walk away unscathed, she decided to use her righteousness as an excuse to get rid of her for good, due to her ego, jealously, and confusing personal feelings. She ended up captain of the exorcists, making their third friend grow distant untill that same friend would end up on hell soil, her head severed from her body and her name plastered all over classified documents.

Only Lute is now left, bitter, hateful, and knowing that everything was her fault. But it wasn't her breaking their friendship, it was her sacrificing her dearest friend in the name of what's right. She has stopped consulting the archangels and their vague, confusing, meaningless rules. From now on, vengeance is law.

At first I didn't know why Adam was killed so early on, but I think I have a theory.

Adam's story and character will be explored through various people's povs and perceptions of him (lute being unsure if he loved her or not, sera seeing him as an impulsive human that goes too far sometimes, Lucifer and his complicated feelings) but even with all that info they still don't paint the full picture.

Eventually we see Adam as a sinner in hell where all of his actual traits are on full display. Maybe Lucifer approaches him and we get to see how he feels towards heaven and all that good stuff. Adamsapple crumbs maybe hopefully not really but one can dream.

I have 2 questions

1-is adam still the father of humanity?

2-need to know about the sins.

Lore time!!

Q1: Yup! Adam and Lilith were the first fully conscious beings capable of understanding and creation, but they weren't compatible as a pair at all. After Lilith went missing, Eve was created as a replacement, and her and Adam got along so well they got married. ~Skipping over the logistics of how two people alone managed to create a stable population~

Q2: The sins were high standing fallen angels that believed (or used to believe) in Lucifer's cause. There used to be a lot more of them like Deceit, Prejudice and Stupidity, but many were killed in the thousands of wars that followed the Morningstar's fall. Only the current seven remain.

(Super rough designs I'm not happy with at all but I'll try to explain what I was going for! ↓)

Gluttony is a weird mix of a catapiller and a queen bee. She consumes a lot to give her ever growing body energy, yet her wings have never sprouted. She has servents to constantly tend to her and 'feed' her, but she has no problem getting what she wants herself if it came to it. She doesn't mind sharing, but won't think twice before bleeding you dry for whatever you can offer and moving onto the next meal.

Envy has two halves to her, one is the real face of the demon, while the second is a puppet she has fashioned from her own flesh. She constantly changes and adds features to fit the current standard she has set herself to, and uses only it to talk and interact with others. Sometimes she gets so envious of her own puppet that she tears it apart and rearranges it to look uglier in comparison. Whether the side itself is sentient is unknown.

Lust is pretty animalistic, he has an insatiable libido and is attracted to every kind of person there is (I am NOT going there). (Honestly, the sin of lust implies a whole lot of things that I'm not prepped to deal with rn so this will be it for now!)

Pride is someone who doesn't feel it nessesary to respect or acknowledge other people. He is one of the oldest and wizest beings in the universe, so not many things can surprise him or offer him much. He is usually harmless, but when it comes to debates and decisions, his word is law. Even with his daughter, the first thing he ever had a hand in creating, he refuses to treat any more than a sheltered naive little girl. Well, she is, but that's not the point!

Sloth is too tired to conjure up a proper form, so she mostly appears as slime or sludge, only her horns and eyes peeking through. She always has two eyes open at all times, fully aware of the world and its going-ons, but never willing to participate. She hates the burden of actions and responsibilities, so she was never the ruler of anything, but many sloth hellborns that live in the ring she resides in praise her for not forcing them into anything.

Wrath is a bull-centaur-dragon thing, with horns to injure and many limbs to thrash with. He is unpredictable and consistently irritated, hard to make listen to reason and holds one hell of a grudge. Lucifer made him the judge of hell because he wanted to see what would happen. And a lot did indeed happen.

Greed has kinda just stopped being a person. Their previous six eyes have shrunken into barely larger that a pinpoint, the only feature that remained is their infinite segmented body and their - not even arms anymore - little hooks claws that they use to grab onto anything and everything around them. Maybe back in their angel days they could've had more to them, like an identity maybe, but in the current day, this is all that remains.

In the au everyone has demon (& angel) forms, usually showing up when feeling intense emotion or indulging in one's sin.

Lucifer's is very rushed but I'd like to imagine him with his wings slowly rotting off during his time in hell, wether by a curse or the place's effects.

has anything from season two changed up a few things with your au?

Not a lot as of yet, I'm still waiting for my brain to absorb all of it! All the designs are a year old now so I'll have to update them, but that's general stuff.

We got three whole backstories this season!!! I really liked Sir Pentious' and really didn't like Vox's, so will probably make a separate post with art for their au versions just to have it on hand.

Alastor's was already well-known so it doesn't change anything, but his deal with Rosie really stumped me! I guess I can't really write down any plot untill season 3 😭 (unless I think like really really hard TT) It's moved along so much and yet heaven hasn't really done anything besides getting attacked, so I feel confident in placing Charlie's first official meeting with them in the start/middle of season 2!

It might compromise Lute's arc (my new favorite character) but I'll figure something out. Anything for her <3

Also season 1 of the AU would look like the first season of the new 'Ghosts' series. I've been binge watching it for two days now and I've come to enjoy it a lot! Would love to see the hotel cast get into shenanigans like that!!

So quick question: are you gonna adapt the cast of Helluva Boss into this? If so, what’re you gonna do it?

Nah, I don't care about them much. I know that's going to sound strange coming from a Hazbin fan, but I don't like Helluva boss. All the interesting plot hooks in the first episodes were kinda dropped by season 2 and the characterisation of, honestly everyone, is way too wonky to get invested in.

That being said, a quick rewrite below the cut:

Everything is the same except Stolitz isn't endgame and M&M aren't together. Yours truly is a certified Blitz x Moxxie truther since the pilot. Also I don't remember if we ever got an explanation why Blitz has that mark on his forehead, so I gave it to every imp and it's based on the ring they're from. The plot will also be a lot more focused on his business and class struggles, with romance as a side thing. Just them carrying out missions and hiring new employees untill the plot builds up.

Stolas is the complete opposite of Blitz. Rich, emotional, and a bad dad. They both bond over parenthood and Stolas develops actual romantic feelings, but he's quickly shut down. He becomes a 'comic relief stalker' for a bit before finally figuring stuff out and becoming good friends with Blitz. From then on the dynamic is 'rich guy learns being poor sucks atually' and he begins to see just how corrupt the system is, trying to stand up for his friend and finding out even he is powerless in that regard.

My beautiful wife Stella will still be cruel to Stolas but she will actually have the character to back it up, Octavia will be the same because she's perfect, Loona will get more screentime with the crew, can't come up with anything for Millie or Verosika yet. Striker will play a bigger role definitely, Andrealphus doesn't exist, the cherubs will be used for world building, the agents are just becoming my OCs, I stole them already.

Ever since their first meeting, Charlie has held Vaggie in high regard. She was the first 'sinner' she had ever officially met, and the first true 'friend' the princess ever had. Strong, organized, determined, a person you can rely on when you're hyperactive, messy, confused, frustrated... lonely... ↓↓↓

Charlie is the ideas person, the one with both wonder and will, and Vaggie is the manager, helping shape the lengthy schemes into direct actions. Sometimes she wonders how she would've gotten this far in her plan without her girlfriend's help.

Wait- GIRLFRIEND!? W-well y-yes, they are both girls a-and they are certainly friends!! Yes!!! Definitely no weird bubbly feeling she can't explain because she's never been in love before!!! LOVE!?!? Uhh y-yeah, of course she loves her best friend!!! Her bestest best friend that she loves and wants to remain friends with forever-- n-nothing more, *sob* y-yeah DEFINITELY!!!

✨🍎Charlie + Angel🕸️🩷

Charlie has been very sheltered her entire life, so to live with one as familiar with hell life as Angel is a great opportunity to learn more about her subjects! And he is proving to be a great teacher! She didn't know a lot about his profession, never had experience dealing with drunk people, nor has she ever witnessed an addict's creativity in finding new stash locations, but after a week with him? Got pretty familiar.

Hes unfiltered and always lets her know whenever he's unhappy with something, which makes reading and accommodating him so much easier! She's often wrong in her readings, but slowly realizes it's because Angel as a person is much more complex than she ever thought possible.

Overtime, she stops looking at him as a subject of study, but as a person she has genuinely bonded with, and they develop an older brother - younger sister dynamic. Soon he also softens a bit and starts teaching her social cues and sinner etiquette so she can learn to navigate her people and their struggles.

✨🍎Charlie + Alastor 🦌🥩

Alastor is a trickster whose reputation precedes him, to the point even the shut-in princess knows to be cautious of him. Completely unpredictable, he is quiet and reserved on some days, and the most talkative extrovert on others, which makes getting him to help or even getting in contact with him absolute hell.

His suggestions are always either violent or absurd, but there is always a pinch of truth to them that she has to sift through and find. Something about him tells her that he's really guiding her on the right path, but something else urges her to be careful.

Another thing that surprised her about him, is that apparently that old-school gentleman loves pranks. He has certainly shown her and the hotel residents so multiple times. And she, of course, lovely gullible she, is his favorite target.

Charlie and her dad... aren't close. It was better when her mother was still around, but now she hardly considers him family. He is the one funding her endeavor, but she hates having to rely on him or ask him for help, mostly because he would always dismiss her with a laugh and start talking about his duck projects or whatever.

She knows it's his curse, she knows he would never truly empathize with her or give her the time of day because of his sin, but she still hates him for it. She hates how he never treats her seriously, she hates when he gives her estimations of when her program would fail, she hates him laughing at her plans like they were children's drawings. She hates him.

... Except she doesn't. She can't really bring herself to. He seems to be trying this time around. Really trying. Almost like hes... fighting himself. If she's already trying to redeem sinners... would it really be a stretch for her to try and redeem the devil? Would she succeed...?

Woah! I'm cooking up so many interesting dynamics I would love to explore in the future! Too bad I will probably be real busy till next year probably. But by my calculations season 2 would release around that time sooo! >w<

Reimagined! Emily desc:

An optimistic and joyful apprentice, still learning how to keep her energetic personality at bay. She's the successor to archangel Sarael, and only has two sets of big wings - higher than her peers, not yet like her mentor. ↓↓↓

Like the average heavenly resident, she thinks the 'exorcists' come down to hell on peaceful missions to convert the sinners, but when the princess requests a meeting with the council to discuss hell's future, her mentor forbids her from attending. Something she is upset and frustrated by.

In 'You didn't know' she barges in the courtroom after overhearing the real purpose of the exterminations, and at the end of the song she addresses God directly, making Sera snap and abruptly stop the trial. From then on she does whatever she can to help Charlie, even if indirectly.

Reimagined! Winner Sir Pentious desc:

In this AU all the souls that go to heaven look like their original / ideal human form, and only sinners have their features changed. Everyone in heaven have their iris and sclera colours swapped and colour pallate slightly lighter.

After arriving in heaven and meeting Angel's sister, he gets detained by the Holy Council and forbidden from interacting with any of the other winners until they figure out how he managed to ascend. Molly gets suspicious immediately and starts to spread the word, sowing suspicion in the human population.

The trial happens in the second season and its because heaven wants an explanation as to how he managed to get there. Charlie is overjoyed and argues that he redeemed himself, but the council considers him a spy trying to take down heaven from within. Who knew such fragile shoulders could carry the burden of revolution.
