the rest of the bit is so fucking choice
she is SO funny!! definitely recommend watching her special
But Who Is She?
Taylor Tomlinson: Quarterlife crisis (Since I went to look it up because that’s sort of important in order to get people to watch)
having a job is very weird bcos by and large your coworkers will be a variety of ages and you will not all be at the same stage of life. your coworker will be like, well I’m off home to spend time with my husband & child, what are you going to do with your evening? and you’re like, well, I plan on playing Rollercoaster Tycoon for as much as it as possible
Scalding hot take apparently: if a demographic says “I don’t feel safe in the cisgendered heterosexual society, I need space in the LGBT community” and you say “I’m sorry, you’re not oppressed enough, get out” you’re a fucking asshole.
What this post is about;
Ace/aro people getting called “cishet”
Bisexuals getting called “straight passing”
Straight trans people getting told they’re not oppressed
What this post is not about;
Pedophiles
i am the worst person i know. i am better than everyone else. i hate myself. i am god <3

when oscar wilde said 'i am tired of myself tonight, i should like to be someone else' and when sylvia plath said 'i wish i knew what to do with my life, what to do with my heart' and when rilke said 'this heavy humanness'

↳ Alexis Rose (part three)
Harley Quinn got out of an abusive relationship, is looking better than ever and would break those men’s knees if they tried to breathe in her direction
look, we give glee so much bullshit bc it turned into over-the-top farcical nonsense but the fact of the matter is that for three days all over social media i have seen hundreds and hundreds of young women talking about how watching santana lopez be out and proud on glee was a formative part of coming to terms with their sexuality. there’s an entire generation of women who watched and who felt comforted by this character and felt as though maybe they, too, could be happy and gay.
santana did that.
naya did that.
Never forget what this scene did for us. I could never. …
Pro tips from original antifa.
TV Show Recs - Comedy Edition
1. If you like ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT…try SCHITT’S CREEK
Summary: Similar to Arrested Development, Schitt’s Creek also follows a spoiled and eccentric family, the Roses. In this comedy series, the Rose family loses all their money and are left with only one asset the government deemed valueless: ownership of the small town of Schitt’s Creek. It is here the Roses must adjust to their new life without money. This is one of the absolute funniest shows. It has clever jokes, heartfelt writing, and outstanding performances. Catherine O’hara as Moira Rose is nothing short of spectacular.
Where to Watch: Netflix
2. If you like PARKS & RECREATION…try TRIAL & ERROR
Summary: Like Parks & Rec, this comedy series takes place in a small town filled with oddball characters. It follows Josh, a defense lawyer, as he attempts to prove his client innocent of the murder of his wife. The jokes in this show are absolutely killer and the humor style is very similar to Parks. A criminally underwatched show in my opinion.
Where to Watch: NBC.com
3. If you like FLEABAG…try CHEWING GUM
Summary: Chewing Gum, like Fleabag, also developed out of a one-woman theatre piece and features similar themes such as dealing with family and modern relationships. It also uses similar narrative styles like addressing the camera directly during a scene. Funny and feel good and a little bit crude, this show is anchored by an incredible performance by Michaela Coel as main character Tracey Gordon.
Where to Watch: Netflix
4. If you like BROAD CITY…try THE GAY AND WONDROUS LIFE OF CALEB GALLO
Summary: Broad City was developed from a web series, so it seems fitting to suggest another great web series: The Gay & Wondrous Life of Caleb Gallo, which follows Caleb Gallo as he navigates relationships and friendships. Like Broad City, Caleb Gallo has very funny and unique writing, as well as some great comedic performances.
Where to Watch: Youtube (free)
5. If you like SUPERSTORE…try PARTY DOWN
Summary: Though you could probably consider Superstore a hidden gem in itself, even more unknown is Party Down. Another workplace comedy like Superstore, Party Down focuses on a group of struggling actors as they work at a catering company. It features familiar faces like Adam Scott, Jane Lynch, Jennifer Coolidge, and Lizzy Caplan.
Where to Watch: Hulu
