Story Synopsis

In a world not quite like our own, humans live amongst the waste and ruin of a civilization long preceding them, relying on their technology and discoveries.

Long ago, this advanced civilization left the planet in search of a new home, and in time the humans came to inhabit it.

Thousands of years later, the natives, turned alien by time, have found reason to believe they may have left something behind. Something of grave importance.

A grand treasure? A powerful weapon? Nobody is really sure.

The aliens ancestors left little to no evidence for where it is hidden, but they're willing to tear the planet apart in order to find it.

The humans are now in danger of losing their only home to a species that inhabits multiple worlds, who claim the planet as their own by right.

Time is now of the essence, if the humans can unlock the secrets of the precursors before the aliens, they may stand a fighting chance against their invaders, if not, they're likely to be enslaved or wiped out all together.

A small party of prospectors has been sent by the aliens to prove it's existence before calling for reinforcements, and delaying their search is key to buying the humans more time.
