Better late than never, I guess— Fall 2025 event schedule!
I promise we hold events weekly I am just forgetful.
I did this on the train to work bc silly me didn’t have a Halloween post bc silly me posted it like two weeks ago instead.
This meme comes around every year and every year I think it’s the funniest thing in the world.
‘Tis ween my fellows!!
It's that time of year again -- HvZ time! This upcoming week, October 27 - 31, will be Humans vs. Zombies! HvZ is a continuous, 5 day long game of infection tag across the Bi-Co. Would you like to chase? Do you want to be chased? Does strategizing interest you? Would you enjoy sneaking? Do you like puzzles and riddles (or lemons)? Join the HvZ Discord server by scanning the QR code on any of our posters around the Bi-Co to learn more and join the game.
Let's go gambling!
Do you have a fancy piece of formal clothing you've been waiting for an opportunity to wear? Have a card game you've been itching to learn or teach to a friend? Do you like gambling? Want to join a secret poker den where cheating is allowed? Join us this Saturday at Suits and Suits! 8 PM - 12 AM, at Nerd House. We'll provide the decks of cards and poker chips. Formal dress is not required, but it is fun. Top hats and bow ties will be available for those who would like.
I think all our other presence is ‘nerdhousehc’ so this account is the only place that I have to consciously think “no it’s the other way around, hcnerdhouse” and it has tripped me up every time I log in here without fail
Hello, nerds! Are you privy to cursed knowledge? Would you delight in the rapt attention of a captive audience for 6-12 minutes? Then join us this Saturday, October 4 from 8 PM to 12 AM for Unraveled!!
In the spirit of the series Unraveled by Brian David Gilbert (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLaDrN74SfdT7Ueqtwn_bXo1MuSWT0ji2w), we welcome anyone who would like to give a short comedic presentation (think 6-12 minutes) on literally any topic — the more niche and unhinged, the better.
Sign up by scanning the QR code on any of our posters around campus, or with the link in our mailing list email. In the interest of not giving full document edit privileges to the general public I am once again not attaching the poster— you all get it.
be there or be square, -Micah
Next on the roster is D&D Night — on September 27th at the usual time (8PM-12AM). We’ll be in VCAM— not the DC basement. If you show up to the DC basement, turn around, keep walking, past Founders, across the green, building in the middle with the glass doors. Sign up to GM a one-shot by scanning the QR code on any of our posters around campus (in the interest of not linking that straight to the general public, this is a rare hcnerdhouse post sans image). It doesn’t have to be D&D— we welcome any ttrpg system. Sign-ups to play will take place on the night of, starting sometime between 8:15 and 8:30 to give Bryn Mawr folks a chance to show up. We’re shaping up to have games suitable for all experience levels, so no ttrpg experience is necessary!
It feels too weird doing an event announcement without some kind of image so here’s a picture of my parents’ new kitten looking very polite - Micah
The college does our house up in Landlord White and a sort of shade of yellow that looks like what you’d get if a colour could have stage fright, so come help us make our Nerd House look more like a Nerd Home. That’s right, it’s time to get over here and Draw on the Walls, or at least it’ll be time to get over here between 8PM and midnight on Saturday, September 6. That’s the usual time, and we’re at the usual place: the first house just across the bridge past the second blue bus stop. We put up blank white paper so that you can let your imaginations run wild. If that’s not your thing, we’ve got the usual board games and card games, too. And if you’re just not feeling it then, we keep our wallpaper up all year.
Be there or be square, -Micah
I totally remembered that this account exists yeah ^ guy who forgot this account existed
With Haverfest around the corner, you already know what time it is: we’ll be holding Capture the Flag on 05/03, from 2-4 PM on Featherbed Field — not Walton as the posters erroneously say. We’ll play rounds of CTF classic on teams and have free-for-all foam weapon fights because there’s no way to round off a year like smacking your friends silly with pool noodles. Show up on time to hear the rules and claim your choice of weapon.
The day before (05/02), we’ll be holding a Foam Weapons Workshop from 4-9 PM in Zubrow Commons in the KINSC— not at the house as the initial Haverfest announcement erroneously says. Come and craft a weapon out of PVC pipe, pool noodles, and duct tape. If you can’t make it to the workshop, don’t worry— we’ll bring extra weapons for those who didn’t get the chance to make their own.
Be there or be square ;)

Helloooooooo, nerdlings!
Join us this Saturday at 8 at Nerd House (just north of the second blue bus stop) to kick off this year's Scavenger Hunt!!! Form teams of friends - or be assigned to a group of random event-goers - by filling out the Google Form below to solve a loop of puzzles stationed across Haverford's campus! The hunt starts promptly at 8:30 - late arrivals will not be able to participate, but as always we will have other vehicles of fun in board games and other activities within the house for all. Each team will go charging off and get as far as they can in our string of riddles, then reconvene at Nerd House at 11:00 for the electric finale of the Scavenger Hunt.
Hope to see you there, and happy hunting! -Nerd House
Nerd House's Scavenger Hunt will run Saturday, April 19, with teams convening at Nerd House before the hunt begins at 8:30 PM. The hunt will
Hello Stationery Implements and Minerals of the Bi-Co!
We invite you to join our legendary battle to determine once and for all which is the greatest between the embattled factions of Rock, Paper, and Scissors!
Rock vs. Paper. vs. Scissors is a week-long game of tag played across the entire bi-co, this semester's take on Humans vs. Zombies. On Monday every player will be split between three teams: Rock, Paper, and Scissors. Members of each team will be able to tag members of the team they beat in Rock Paper Scissors and when people are tagged they join the team that tagged them. The biggest team at the end of the week wins!
If you are interested, join the Discord server here: https://discord.gg/vHjZ4wJ3FM where you can read the rules and join the game. That server will be the home for all things RvPvS. Additionally you will need a bandana to indicate your team which you can pick up by visiting Nerd House or one of our DC tabling sessions over the next few days.
Go forth and fight valiantly to prove which is the greatest faction in this age old rivalry!

Hello, nerdlings!
You've joined us for our Unraveled Night - now get ready to reravel with us this Saturday, April 5th, at YARNS AT YARNALL! (close enough, welcome back Penelope.) Weave together both words and wefts at this night of storytelling, poetry recitation, and fiber arts of every kind.
At this event, we will be providing materials and instructions for every manner of craft type, although feel free to bring your own! Whether you're swapping knitting tips and embroidery strategies with other longtime fiber arts enthusiasts, or learning the craft for the very first time, you'll find something that suits your experience level.
For storytellers, please come to the event with a tale prepared that takes five minutes or less in the telling. This story can be whatever your heart desires - true, fictional, or somewhere in-between! (We do ask that storytellers keep to light-hearted topics to preserve everyone's ability to participate in the event.) Stories will be told in the Common Room throughout the night.
For all you poets in the crowd, submit a poem anonymously to the below Google Form at any point before noon on Saturday. We've provided a few prompts, but by no means do you need to adhere to them! They're only for getting the creative juices flowing should you find yourself stuck. At the event, guests will volunteer to perform a random poem from this anonymous collection!
Submit a poem anonymously to be read by a random guest at this Saturday's event! You can submit as many poems as you like.
Can't wait to see you there! - Nerd House
Melody McCoyle is the most in-demand psychic medium in the world. It was our pleasure to invite you to attend a long-anticipated seance hosted here at the haunted Lively Manor house, but as the ghostly commune unravelled the line between life and beyond, it appears another soul was stolen! But why? And how? As darkened parlours cross and blur the lines of spectre and sceptic, one thing shines through clearly: not everyone is who they seem to be.
Join us for a Murder at the Seance this Saturday, March 29, from 8 PM to midnight. You will assume the roles of various characters as you investigate the mystery and try to discover the culprit. Any manner of cosplay or dressing sharply for the occasion is welcomed, but not required.
Sincerely,
-Micah, on behalf of Nerd House
Greetings, nerds!!
Join us on Saturday, March 22, for Unraveled Night and PowerPoint Karaoke!! Unraveled was a series by Brian David Gilbert (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLaDrN74SfdT7Ueqtwn_bXo1MuSWT0ji2w) in which he gives short comedy presentations on incredibly niche topics on Forbidden Knowledge that Man Was Not Meant to Know. In the spirit, we welcome anyone who would like to give a short, 6-12 minute presentation on any topic: the more niche and unhinged, the better. In PowerPoint Karaoke, give an improvised presentation based on slides you’ve never seen before.
Sign up here https://forms.gle/rPBs6y5GVAXF4u8V6 (or scan the qr code on the poster) to give an Unraveled presentation. If you have funny or random PowerPoint presentations that you’d like to see one of your friends present before the group, please submit them there as well!!
See you there!

Dress up and join us this Saturday at the usual time and place for Suits and Suits: we’ll have decks of cards and chances to learn new card games, teach somebody else a new card game, and Poker games running in the kitchen all night long. Formal attire not required— and it’s not like we’re going to hide our usual selection of board games if cards aren’t your thing ;)

happy February 29 lol
