Since their plans for a vacation had been interfered with once again, Samantha decided she would join her husband on his trip to Boston and make the best of it. That usually meant he was off entertaining potential clients for the day and Samantha was on her own to find some things to do for herself; that is until they all met for dinner where she would be responsible for hosting the client’s wife. 

When Darrin did arrive back to the hotel room to get ready, he was in a terrible mood. That, in turn, led to an argument between the two and he was gone. With dinner in less than an hour, Samantha knew she needed to find him so she snapped her fingers and materialized right outside Cheers; a bar she’d heard him mention just the day before.

She scanned the room looking for Darrin but quickly sidestepped when a waitress with a full tray came barreling past her. With no sign of him, she decided she’d best ask the bartender. “Pardon me...”

As hard as she tried and as tired as she was, Samantha just couldn’t seem to fall asleep; not with Darrin away and the house empty. It wasn’t long after that, Samantha felt another presence in the room and she sat up to see Endora just popping in. “Mother, I wasn’t expecting to see you tonight. I thought you were at a party on Venus?”

Samantha’s intentions were never to start an argument, but no matter how she tried to explain herself it always turned into the same familiar one.

Silently, holding back a sigh she listened to her mother’s merciless words. She was happier now than she’d ever been and she wasn’t going to apologize for it. “If that’s how you feel Mother then why are you here?”
