peter couldn’t sleep. it wasn’t a choice. he just COULDN’T. if he did, something could happen. and his family would be in danger. plus the nightmares weren’t really helping his whole SLEEP THING. he knew that at least one of the guardians would be awake since it was rare they were all asleep at the same time.

he wasn’t surprised she was sharpening his sword. it was basically her resting motion. eat, murder, sharpen. the gamora way. “and what about you? i don’t think you can survive on EIGHT HOURS SWORD SHARPENING. sleep helps you TOO you know.”

So he had money to pay for the parts, SO WHAT? Rocket would still need to get the casing. And crystals? Yeah, good luck with that. He was hurt, more than anything. Of course he wasn’t made like the rest of them, but he FELT the same. He had emotions and a soul and all that pathetic shit, so why didn’t anyone treat him like he did?

He walked away without another word, because what else was there to say? Rocket was hurt - actually HURT - and wanted some time to himself. He knew he could fix the blaster, but he shouldn’t have to.

Peter had plenty of excuses why he’d done what he’d done. To him, it was normal to take things that belonged to others. It was why he only had a couple of possessions. He lost the rest to the ravagers he’d grown up with. But that was just an EXCUSE. Something he could fall back on.

He let him go since what else could he say? 200 jumps was too far and would take them a very long time to do. Since it was only safe to do 5 in one go. The guardian was trying his best to be better but he clearly had a long way to go.

There had to be an easier way to get some good crystals. Pulling up the scanner, he looked for some crystals that could handle being put in the blaster. And they ALL did seem to fall in Kree slave camps...

HE COULD DO IT. He’d managed to STEAL the blaster. Why not the crystals? He could even liberate some slaves and get his hero on.
