As they rode to the west, Belcaelaraen thought long on their choice.  They had fought, long and hard for terrible and great things, and had lain in pain and the grip of death for countless years.  Their time had come, the ship would bear them to the farthest shores.  They had earned their rest.

But as the elf passed through the greener lands, an unease grew in them.  How could they simply leave?  After all that had been done and lost, a shadow still grew.  How cruel would it be to leave the mortal races, the younger ones, to dust their hands of any foul creeping thing that threatened.

They wanted their rest, they wanted to feel the release from the coldness that crept.  But not yet.  It was not yet time.  One last time, they would march to the east.

Honestly, playing through the high elf starting quests, I felt so sad.  I imagine the pc to be so tired, to know that the rest they deserve is so close at hand, and has been well earned! But...they cannot leave, not yet.

Regarding Activity

Hey all!

I’m sure you’ve realized this with the lack of activity on this blog and in game, but I’m not really active on LotRO anymore.

I’ve played that game for four years now, and I love it to bits and pieces.  The story is wonderful, and the zones are so pretty.  It’s brought me much happiness over the years, and continues to do so, but from afar.  I’m not officially leaving lotro, but I am greatly cutting back on how much time I spend in game, probably to about once a month, to pay upkeep, run around a little bit, and say hello.

If MEBS would like to vote for/elect a new leader (or if someone wants to volunteer), I am okay with that, I want you guys to be happy and having fun!

I’m going to keep this blog up, because I do really still love LotRO, it has a special place in my heart, and because who knows?  I may return in full again one day.  The game has dulled for me, I guess.  Perhaps it’s the sadness of a game that may be (lets face it) ending soon.  Or perhaps four years is long enough :D

LOTROLATELY MEETUP

SO, as well as my Selfie Sunday idea, I’ve been thinking about how much fun it would be to do (monthly?) ingame meetups! The in-game concert held by The Department of Harmony and Song was so much fun, I thought let’s try this again. I mean, a huge part of this tumblr consists of connecting players with one another, so why not?

I’d like to host the first lotrolately meetup THIS SATURDAY, APRIL 25th (late notice, I know) at 1pm EST on LANDROVAL. Here’s a timezone converter for help on figuring out timezones (just choose USA - New York for the 1pm EST)

It’ll take place in Bree at the fireworks station. My little hobbit Sparkleigh will be there playing songs. We can do an open mic type thing and take turns playing music, or just relax and enjoy the light show. Afterwards, we can go do festival activities together. 

WHEN: APRIL 25th at 1pm EST WHERE: BREE FIREWORKS STATION - LANDROVAL

**NOTE: I’d like to rotate servers around for each meetup as well since obviously, I know everyone isn’t on Landroval. Perhaps next month, we’ll start at the top of the players/servers list and cycle through that month by month.

Beeps Loudly

Hi all!

So, a few things.

One, I would like to apologize for my lack of activity, things have been...trying, shall we say, irl for more, so I haven't had much energy or desire to play lotro more than to check on things and make sure the house is paid for and all that.  So, I am sorry, you deserve a better leader than that.

Second, I know we lost a few in the Great Dragon Wars (some ran off to become Qunari, others fell in love with handsome bread loaves).  So there's that.

Third.  We're still in Caras Galadhon, expedition wise.  This is a serious question.  Are we interested in finishing it?  Or do you want to call it quits on that idea?  I, for one, do want to finish it, I want MEBS to be able to party in Dol Amroth and beyond (beach field trips, anyone?), but I haven't gotten the feeling that everyone else is so excited to get back to it.  If there is a problem, perhaps the format is weird, or something, please let me know!  I like the idea of doing group expeditions across large areas, but I don't want it to be a forced march.

Please let me know if folks want to pick back up and keep trudging alone to DA.  And if so, when you would be ready to at least make it into Rohan.

lmao i’ve spent all my waking hours today looking at the lotro forums, researching which server I want to try next

(b/c Brandywine is h u g e and I want to see if a different server will give me a different atmosphere, one where I don’t feel like such a lost n00b all the time)

I’m leaning toward Landroval because even though I suck at RP, I miss it and kind of want to try it in the lotro setting. but since RP isn’t a make-or-break deal for me I’m still kind of overwhelmed with choices.

honestly tho if anyone wants to be friends, and help out a newish (since Nov. 2014) player who’s used to being solo but is trying to become more social, could you send me a message? I’d love to make a toon on your server and hang out!

rp on landy is kind of hit or miss sometimes, but it seems to be there, both quick "i want to just jump into something in the pony" and long term story line rp.
