finally working on the plotting cheat sheet and i ... didn't think it'd take this much work but apparently the sheet i had drafted from years ago had all the old muses (some of whom i'll be keeping as secret menu characters hehe)
"nooooooo, don't say that!" philly lets out a loud, exaggerated wail of a complaint, all the while hugging a large stuffed toy dog (his name is truman junior, after her dad's dearly departed pet. rest in peace, king). as she attempts to roll over onto her side to face frida, she just about nearly falls off the couch. "i am still a baby -- i'm not a grownup, i refuse to be one. grownups have to do shit like, taxes. i don't know how to do that."

thinking about olympia as a mom in her canon verse makes me giggle. she and theo don't tell their kids they're criminals (she didn't want them to live the same childhood she had) but there are Hints. like their aunt and uncle figures always going in and out of the house, whispered discussions about their most recent heists, a collection of blueprints in their attic, their parents always going on strange meetings as small business owners (theo owns the restaurant and is finally the executive chef, achieving his dream <33, olympia bakes for it), olympia having a full desk setup in the basement they didn't know they had. the fact that they have Money money considering their parents were nobodies. it's a whole thing.
and imagine their surprise when their second born daughter wants to be a lawyer to "change the world."
he's got a look on his face like the question is ridiculous to even ponder. "of course, i'm happy. you know how many people would kill to have my life?" in truth, he hasn't really given himself to think about it for more than a minute at a time. in fact, now seems like a good time for him to take a drink, rather than do just that. the thinking part. he needs another round, actually.
