I decided to make a Wolf Yautja x OC fic series because I need to SPREAD MY WINGS MORE. -Jester
TW/Content: war mentioned, one-sided sibling rivalry, non-sexual nudity, immediate acquaintance
Main Characters: Wolf (AvP:R) & Beezle (Alien OC)
Two species that hated eachother for centuries.
War and fights between these two species happen more commonly than most think. The first war originally started thousands of years ago where two elders from the different species fought over a xenomorph hive, both of them stealing and competing over the kills. As one was getting trophies, the other was hungry and needed food.
The tidal needed the food, but due to the extreme hunger he felt, the elder tidal caught himself into a hoggish mindset, making him savagely kill the elder yautja.
Causing a long-term distaste between the two species and bringing in nothing but war.
A yautja will always say they hate the tidals and a tidal will always say they hate the Yautjas. "They're ugly," "they're not fit for anything," "gluttons are all they are," "way too slimy," "disgusting," "they eat weirdly," "they hunt for the wrong reasons." All of these are what both species said about one another, and nothing is changing about that.
That's until desperate times calls for desperate measures.
〘Settled point: Central Point—Meeting between Ryujin, current Tidal leader and Rusk'fel, current Yautja Elder〙
"Eat instead of tapping the glass of heben.." Rusk grunted out from the other end of the table. Ryu glares back up from the plate of cooked xenomorph, the acidic blood slightly juicing down onto the plate itself. "Eating is the last thing on my mind right now. It should be the last thing on your mind too, Rusk (gluttonous thing)." Silence filled the dining room now, the background noise only being the small rumbles of the ship.
Another set of tapping was heard, causing Rusk to growl a bit at the hearing of it. Ryu noticed and stopped, knowing annoyance isn't the best option currently. Ryu reaches his left hand down to the plate of xenomorph meat and tore a piece off before chucking it into his mouth, chewing slowly. The elder from the other end watches as the tidal eats.
The irony of that sight right now.
"You gonna start the meeting or am I gonna have to?" Rusk asks, his posture more straight up now. Ryu shakes his head and stands up from the chair he was in. "No need, Rusk'fel."
Ryu stands more up from the table and clears his throat slightly. He goes over to the side of the table and clicks a few buttons on his gauntlet. The plates and the drinks clear out immediately and out shows a hologram of another alien species.
"As we unfortunately have to handle now, we have a common enemy."
"The Jarrens." "Correct for once."
A glare was seen from Rusk and Ryu gives one back, before looking back at the holograms.
"As we both know, their most powerful tribe has been going to many planets in the solar system, stealing resources and food, harming or even killing the inhabitants, destroying parts of the planet, and many, many other things." As Ryu explained, Rusk rolls his eyes. "Now, don't explain what I already know. Explain to me how we should handle them." Silence fills the air again. Ryus fins flick a bit and he grunts a big, "Fine."
"A temporary agreement between us as we deal with the Jarrens."
Now that's something that caught Rusk'fel off guard. A agreement between both species after centuries of fighting? "Keep talking.." A soft shock was set on Ryus face. It felt refreshing to hear someone not talking over him. "I... I believe we should combine some people from our tribes to go to separate planets where the Jarrens colonized and semi exterminate them." He pauses. "At least until they finally learn to back off." Rusk nods.
Rusk gets up from his chair and walks around the table where Ryu is, Ryu slightly towering over Rusk (Ryu is 8'7 and Rusk is 8'5). "Could work, but certain teams need certain people in them for certain planets." Rusk taps a bit on the tables holographic text and pulls up a hologram of a yautja. Scales slightly green, mandible missing, blind in one eye, and dreads down to shoulders. "We can start with one of mine, Wolf. He's strong, killed a queen twice, great fighter, many trophies, and the oldest out of his three brothers."
Ryu looks at the hologram for a second, his tail behind him flicking a bit against the ground and he shifts on his webbed feet a bit. He taps on the holographic text too and pops up a tidal on the table. "This is Beezle. They're a veteran and a runt, but they proved they can fight incredibly. Also a great exterminator as well like your Wolf." Ryu explains, his markings glowing on his showing scales. Rusk stares at the hologram of Beezle. "A runt you say?" "Don't start with them being a runt. I don't judge a runt unlike your kind does."
The ship engine rumbled once more in the ship, slightly interrupting the conversation. Ryu glances to the side of where the engine noise is coming from, looking around a second, his markings flickering a bit in thought, before looking back at Rusk. As soon as Ryu was about to talk, "I accept the idea of teaming up." Rusk spoke up with certainty in his voice.
"I accept the idea of teaming up." He repeats, his mandibles curling slightly as he did.
Ryu glares down at Rusk as he processes his words. He accepts the idea, but he has to ask. "Do you want something out it? I know you don't agree to these types of things so easily without something in return for you and your tribe." Rusk grumbles and rolls his eyes to the side partially. "Just one thing in particular. You agree to split the xeno hunts." He was stern, his voice going to a lower tone as he turned to look at Ryu. "Our hunts are only for unblooded. I know you and your tribe can handle a few no-hunts."
This was tricky on Ryus behalf. Xenomorph hunts are apart of his kinds life. It's one of their food resources, their energy. Missing a few hunts in general causes fatigue in the tribe, and the natural fruit there doesn't give enough energy; and regarding the Jarrens that have been stealing their food and many other tribes food, it's already risky. "I will think about it, but in the meantime, I believe we should focus on the teams.." Rusk gave a hesitant nod.
〘Settled point: The Privy Tribe on Tidal Grove—The News〙
Wet steps onto the grass was heard, with the low sound of banter between two Tidals. The well known siblings, Beezle and Humest. It's known across The Privy Tribe that these two have a disliking to each other, as it originally started when Beezle was the first to be proven worthy before Humist even got the chance. A massive jar of jealousy was poured onto Humest that day.
Beezle carried a bag behind them as Humest slowly followed behind, his own bag filled with fruits dragged on the floor.
"How much longer do we have to handle this job?"
"How much longer until you stop complaining for once in your life?"
Humest paused in his walking and glared at Beezle from behind, a low and angered chittering noise. Beezle also stops in their tracks and slowly turns around to look at Humest, their yellow eyes looking over their brother in a calm expression.
They slowly set the bag down onto the ground stand fully back up. "Humest, you know how this will end. This will be our third fight." Humest didn't stop his aggravated stance, his markings flickering their light with a threatening shine. Immediately, Humest ran towards Beezle with as much speed as he could bring himself to.
Beezle rolls their eyes at the scene and as soon as Humest got close enough, Beezle bent down and made Humest trip over them. A loud pitched roar was heard from Humest as he tripped.
He fell to the ground with a loud hiss, his fins down as his lungs were tight with the shock. He didn't get the chance to sit up before Beezle brought their mechanical hand up and around Humest neck.
Not enough to choke him but enough to keep him down.
The two stared at each other with different expressions. Humest with fear in his eyes and Beezle with their usual calm expression. "Humest, listen to me this time." They pause, a deep trill was heard from them during the pause.
"I don't want you hurting yourself one day because of your ego. You still haven't proved yourself to this day due to you going over your head all the time. I'm begging you to listen to me for once."
Beezle finally lets go of Humests neck and stands back up, helping Humest to his feet. In timing, a loud horn was heard through the forest, the bass of it shaking the insides of Beezle and Humest. "It's time to head back to the area.. Cmon." Beezle grabs their bag filled with fruits and tosses it over their shoulder, walking to the direction of their tribes ground.
The walk could be as normal as it usually is, and finally peaceful on Beezles behalf of Humest not trying to tackle them down every 5 minutes. When they made it to the area, both siblings set their bags down and saw a giant group of Tidals surrounding the elder, Ryujin.
"Is it a meeting?" "Maybe."
The two quickly jog over to where the group was, when suddenly one of the Tidals yell out, "Beezle! They're here!" the other Tidals turn to see Beezle walking up, a shared group of hushed voices now being overheard. Beezle just looks around in confusion.
The elder notices Beezle too, a brightening shine in his eyes. "Beezle, I need to talk to you!" he announces into the crowd. Beezle turns to look at Humest and he shrugs. Beezle gives a shrug in return and looks back up at the elder. "What's the reasoning of this, Elder Ryujin? Why is there so many here?" Ryujin sighs a bit and moves slightly on the ground, trying to find the words in his head. Once he does, he looks to the ground and rumbles.
"Beezle, you are the first one to be going on a extermination with a yautja."
Sets of gasps and sounds of shock, and bewilderment was heard in the large group. "Now, now, settle down. Me and the current yautja elder held a meeting at the Harbor Central ship, and we both settled to a temporary agreement." He pauses and looks down at Beezle with soft eyes. "You were the first from me to be chosen. Now, I'll give more information to you later—for now, this is to bring awareness to everyone here."
A few minutes pass by during the meeting, before everyone started to leave the area, but the whole time...
Beezle just stood still, thinking over what Elder Ryujin said to them.
They were going to partner up with a yautja?
The idea was sickening to the core. They already have a bad memory of fighting a yautja in a past war. It costed them an arm, but the fight costed the Yautja a leg. It was even in the end.
Few more seconds past by with Beezle still standing in one place. Whole body shook, their fins rattled, low trills escaped from their throat, and their markings flickering with no pattern. All of this just didn't seem real. Beezle was so stuck in their thoughts, they didn't notice the elder coming up from behind. "Beezle?" Ryujins voice caused Beezle to snap out of their mind prison. Ryujin looked over Beezles body language, his eyes glancing from Beezles markings, then to their mechanical arm, and then to their eyes.
He did indeed felt guilt in his triple stomachs. He knows Beezles past with fighting Yautjas during a small part of the war, but he knows they can handle this. "Beezle, meet me at the frig lake tonight. We'll talk more there." it was partially silent, before Beezle gave a small nod and looked to the ground. Ryujin just gave a nod in return, then turning around to leave Beezle in their current state.
Two hours go by, and Beezle was in their bubble with their brother and two sisters. They sat in the shared bedroom together. Beezles sisters were partially comforting Beezle and Humest just glared at them, sharpening one of his knives. "You're lucky, you know?" Humest blurts out without a single thought. "You–You get to be the first to handle the Jarrens, and with a yautja." "Humest, be quiet, there's nothing lucky about this." Raiptr snapped, her fins on the back of her head twitching.
Humest just scoffs and continues to sharpen his blade, not caring if his sister was glaring at him. The other sister, Dredgen continued to try and clear out Beezles mind, but she can't do it so well when she's also internally freaking out for Beezle. "Everything's gonna be fine, you just go talk to Elder Ryujin and figure more stuff out. Easy, right?" Beezle slightly glances over to their sister, who in return gives a awkward smile. Goodness, they don't know how they were born in the same pod. "No, no, you're right, Dredgen."
Beezle stands up from where they say and stretch out a bit on their legs, and their fins. "It'll just be for a minute. I'll be back soon, hopefully." Without a second word, Beezle leaves the room, walks through the bubble, and leaves through the front door.
A small meeting is all its going to be.
Again, another few minutes past by, as the lake is pretty far into the Privy Tribes forest. Once Beezle made it there, they immediately saw Ryujin. He was in the water without his armor and jewelry. Beezle already knew on what to do. They took off their own armor and under clothing, letting their scales feel the air. They stood at the edge for a second, looking down at the water, before stepping in next to Ryujin, the cool water seeping into their gills. "Glad you could make it, Beezle."
Beezle just nods and leans back against the edge, copying Ryujin. "It would be stupid if I didn't, sir. I need more info anyways. You know I don't like going into these type of things blind." A low chuckle leaves from Ryujin. "Ah, I can't forget how you can be sometimes." "It's as if they're my best qualities." Beezle and Ryujin share a look. It brought a comforting atmosphere between the two. The look pasts for a second or two, before Ryujin clears his throat.
He moves slightly on the water and brings his posture more straight. Beezle just copies him to this point. "You already know that we will be working with the Yautjas temporarily to deal with the Jarrens." "Yes, I'm very much aware." Ryu gave a small nod. "Then you should also know that you'll be gone for awhile with your Yautja partner." A low growl was heard from Beezle. "Not a good idea in my opinion."
"Then what is a good idea?" "Not that. There's much more better options than to work with our enemies!" The two shared a stare for awhile, neither of them wanting to continue. Ryu gave a groan and grabbed a wooden cup behind him, before handing it to Beezle. Beezle gave a glare to the cup before grabbing it. "What is it?" Ryu didn't answer Beezle as he grabbed another cup behind him.
He held the cup tightly in his hands and took the edge of the cup to his lips, drinking it for a few second. As he finished, he glanced to the side and nudged Beezle a bit. Beezle just looked at the drink with hesitation but finally let themselves take a sip. The bones in their body eased down. "It's a drink mixed with our best fruits." "Tastes well, but I'm still questioning your decision about this agreement right now."
Ryu nods and takes another sip from his drink. "I know, but you're obviously tense. A drink wouldn't hurt, no?" It took a moment for them to think about Ryus words. "I–I suppose not." Beezle then took another sip from their drink. "But it still doesn't feel right to work with our.. Our sworn enemies that we've been fighting against for years!"
The memories of those fights still slam around in Beezles head. It's the main thing they always think about. Who would though? War is a horrifying thing, and the memories of those wars never settle down greatly. Ryujin sighs and reaches over to the grassy edge and grabs a holographic datapad, handing it over to Beezle.
They're lucky these thing are water proofed.
Beezle grabs the datapad and downs his drink, before setting the cup in the water where it floats. "Wolf? This is the yautja I'm with?" Ryujin nods to confirm Beezles question, grabbing the current floating cup and setting it aside. Beezle looks down at the datapad more and hums, his markings glowing, but still rather dim.
The yautja was an interesting one. Missing a mandible, partially blind, crazy looking scar.. He looked like he knows equal experience. "This.." Beezle slowly speaks up. "This somehow makes me feel better.."
"He looks like he has experience. I partially suspected I was going to be working with a yautja who looks like they know nothing."
Ryujin glares at Beezle now. "Why would you suspect I would partner you up with a low experienced yautja." Beezle sighs and glances away from the datapad, then handing it back to Ryujin. "Oh, you have done it before.." "You were training tads." "No, for a hunt, Remember?"
The water splashed a bit when Beezle slightly flicked their tail on the water. Ryujin does remember that, and it wasn't a good return. Beezle was close to death and the younger one barely had a scratch. Beezle sacrificed themselves too much in that hunt. "Well, it won't be like that this time. I swear on it."
With one last stare between the tidals, Beezle nods and starts to leave the water. They grab their clothing and armor, putting it on and walking away.
"Thank you for the time."
〘Setting point: Yautja Prime, Elite Clan—conversation between brothers〙
The sun on Yautja prime beamed down onto the dusty, harsh ground, as well as the many abandoned food stalls. The Jarren "attacks" have been partially bad for the Yautjas. The food has been a smaller resource now due to the fact that The Jarrens keep stealing them, and it definitely crashed many Yautjas egos with hunting. These small creatures somehow being able to sneak past every security system in the food stalls and take whatever they please.
Wolf unfortunately was also not able to kill many. He had only killed about 3, which isn't enough in the current well-being of their time. Wolf walked through the partially empty area, seeing about 20-25 Yautjas in total. It's not the usual amount, as there would be way more on a casual day. At least in the past it would.
Two weeks and everything has gone down the drain already.
Wolf continued to walk in the area, nodding to a few Yautjas and their young that was with them. He was just heading home to his brother with some rations and some news he was told in a meeting beforehand.
Once he made it to his place, his brothers, Scar, Chopper, and Celtic (Jester here! I have a personal hc that these four are related and Wolf is just the oldest. Anyways, back to the fic) were already in the relaxing area, sitting on the animal hide floor as they ate their current rations. Celtic was the first to notice Wolf. He turned his head to where Wolf was and shifted a bit on the ground. "You're back. How was the meeting with the elder?" Scar and Chopper also look up with curious looks.
Wolf glances around for a second, questioning if he should say the full truth or sugar-coat it.
This is Wolf we're talking about, he's not gonna sugar-coat it.
He walked to where his younger brothers were and sat on the ground with them, crossing his legs. He first grabbed the rations from his bag and set them down, before grumbling a but under his breath. "The elder and I, as well as a few other elite members spoke about upcoming plans. The elder and the Tidal elder agreed to form a temporary alliance so we can handle the Jarrens."
The three brothers were silent as they stared at Wolf with concern and disappointment in their eyes. "Continue?" Scar spoke. Wolf shifted once more on the ground. "I already got assigned to be with a Tidal as the first team. We're going to a planet that the Jarrens already colonized."
"I don't think you should go." Celtic started, finishing up his food quickly and glaring more at Wolf. "Going to a completely different planet with a Tidal of all things?" "It isn't up for discussion, Celtic. You should know I don't have much control in this right now." Chopper and Scar glance between the two, before standing up and letting the brewing argument that's about to happen—happen.
Celtic aggressively set down his half eaten ration. "Well, it's a bad idea on the elders half!" "You think I don't agree? I questioned him multiple times about this!" Wolf chowed down a ration and chewed, then speaking once more. "I wish this didn't happen, but it did!" Celtic clicked angerly and rolled his eyes. "Why can't we just send out some xenomorph eggs!?" "The planet that the jurrens conquered on would take over the whole planet. It won't be a win either way."
Both Chopper and Scar watched as the two went back 'n forth in their argument, their heads turning at each way at the same time.
"Celtic, listen, I would also want to do anything else right now, but with our current times, it's our best choice." Celtic stayed silent this time, which made Wolf continue. "I care about you, Scar, and Chopper more than anything, and if this is the best option right now to keep you three safe, then I'm unfortunately gonna have to do it."
The two brothers looked at each other for a few quiet minutes. Then, Celtic gave a low growling groan and looks down. "I don't like that you're right.." Wow, that's the first for Celtic. Agreeing with Wolf, but regarding the situation...
Wolf furrowed his brows a bit and looks over to Scar and Chopper, then signalling to them to sit back down. The two obliged with him and walked back over to where the other two were, sitting down on the animal hide. Scar grabs a piece of his own rations and tossed it into his mouth. "Do you know what the tidal you're working with looks like?" Scar asks, his words slightly incoherent due to his chewing.
Wolf nods and taps a few things on his wrist gauntlet, before showing a holographic look to the tidal. Beezle. "Their name is Beezle. They told me they're a veteran like me. They know how to fight regarding of the recording the elder showed me." "Robot arm.." Chopper speaks in awe, before silencing himself. "Sorry."
Wolf clicks a bit and turns off the hologram, his demeanor slightly changing. Scar notices this shortly after. "You're scared, aren't you." "Less for myself and more for you three." Wolf slowly explains, eating a bit more of his own rations. "I'm scared that you three will not survive without me here." "We're old enough, Wolf." Chopper cuts in, his own eyes soft. Wolf doesn't respond verbally, but he does shift a bit.
It was hush, but Celtic did have yet another question. "How long will you be gone for during this mission.. Thing." Wolf glances up to Celtic then looks back down to his gauntlet, tapping a few things in it. "At least 50-55 moons from the info I have. I might be gone longer."
"That doesn't make me feel better about this plan."
"Trust me, I agree with you, Celtic. But again, we don't have many choices right now."
Celtic shakes his head as Scar reaches over to pat him on the shoulder. He gives a peek to Scar and his eyes soften. It pains him that he understands. It pains all of them equally. "When are you leaving?" Chopper pipes in, his own eyes looking over mainly his rations. "I'll be leaving in 5-7 moons. Depending on how long we're getting ready." Wolf answers, typing more on his gauntlet.
The three brothers nod in agreement. If this is really all they have as a plan, then it should be the best goddamn plan there ever has been.
It has to be the best plan.
〘Setting point: Central point—Finally meeting〙
After many moons of waiting and prepping, it's finally time for the tidal and the yautja to meet once for all. For a truce.
Beezle walked into the Central Point, where many other allianced species around the galaxy come together. It's the yautjas first time on this ship, as last time one even came on here it was a bad-blood. Yautjas were practically banned in the Central.
It's unfortunate for the ones who are innocent.
Across the corridor showed Wolf in his own armor (minus the helmet), walking beside the elder. Obviously one had bigger trust with the other. As the two species walked towards each other, there was a tense feeling in the air. The last time their two species even walked towards one another with respect was thousands of years ago.
Once they finally got close enough in distance wise, Beezle and Wolf raised their arms where their gauntlets were worn at, then quickly tapped them against each other, and nodding. This was a way for them to transfer translations to the other and a formal greeting. "Beezle." "Wolf." The two introduced, their eyes surprisingly soft during the introduction.
"You two ready for the hunt?" Rusk'Fel probed, his tone more serious than even questioning. The two veterans give a glance to the other, then to their elders, then back to each other. "We're ready." The two say at the same time. The elders nod and signify to the slightly shorter ones. As they walked more into the halls of the ship, Wolf noticed other species in the same halls stare at him.
Beezle noticed these stares, but didn't say anything. They didn't know what to say. The most they can do is just continue walking as there's bigger issues as of now.
A few more seconds of walking went by, before all four stop to a ship loading area. Ryujin was the first to speak up, "This ship would be your shared ship. It has a mix between our and the yautjas technology. Just so you two don't get confused of what you're looking at." Beezle nods and so does Wolf, their movements slightly synced up. Rusk'fel turns to Ryujin. "Thank you for this opportunity, let's hope everything goes well."
"I hope it does as well." Ryujin turns back to look at Beezle and Wolf. "The coordinates are set into your mapping on the ship. It'll be easy to find once you both get in the ship." "Will do, sir." Beezle nods down deeply, their mechanical arm over their chest before taking it off slightly. Wolf takes note of this and then huffs, and looks away. His head shaking a bit. Rusk'fel also notices the actions and hums, but he too doesn't say much.
With a few last goodbyes, Beezle and Wolf get into the ship, and into the cockpit. Beezle sits on their side and Wolf sits on his side. Right next to each other. The two settle themselves in, more specifically.. Beezle does. Their eyes close softly and their fins flutter a bit. Gills on their sides flare slightly, hands on the steering tighten..
Beezle opens their eyes and looks over to Wolf who wa looking at them with a dense look. Beezle sighs, their yellow eyes glancing away then to Wolf once more. "It's been years since I've been in a ship where I'm the one in control.. It feels good to have this feeling again."
Wolf doesn't entirely know how to respond to that, but he understands. It's like hunting xenomorphs after not hunting them for moons. It's a nice yet scary feeling. So instead, he nods and looks ahead to the control panels. Wolf taps a bit on his side and so does Beezle, their claws pressing the different buttons. Soon enough, the coordinates and map to the planet they needed to go showed up.
Beezle groaned and so does Wolf. The planet: Harvnix. A planet known well for it's large mass and... Horrible smell. Along with many large and partially violent creatures. "Can't believe the jarrens chose this planet to colonize." Wolf complains, his claws tapping more on the controls. "The resources there are perfect for them regarding building and weapon making." Beezle explains, before continuing.
"Some of my stuff is made from there."
Wolf glances to Beezle and then sighs, nodding in sync. After a quick set of button pushing and talking over the hunt, the ship finally detatched from the Central and headed off into the wide galaxy.
〘Setting Point: Middle of space—B & W "bonding"〙
It has already been a few hours of traveling, which caused both Wolf and Beezle get bored pretty easily. Beezle sat back in their chair as Wolf stood to the side and going over the tidal technology. It's vastly different compared to his species tech. "Hm, your kinds tech is quite interesting."
"Is it?" Beezle rhetorically asks, their chair turning to look at Wolf. Wolf nods whilst he looks more at the tech. "It is. Systems and how it works is.." "fascinating?" Beezle continues Wolf off. He nods softly. "Yes.. Fascinating." Beezle gave a small smile and stands up, going over to the yautja tech. "I also find interest in your species tech. The way your kind sets everything up in systems.. I like it."
When Beezle turns to Wolf, a shocking feel goes through Beezles body and vice versa. They quickly clear their throats and looks away to the tech once more. As they look around, Beezle turns back to Wolf. "I'm shocked." Wolf looks to Beezle—eyes soft as he looks at them. "About what?" Beezle takes a second. "We haven't fought yet."
"Why would we?" Wolfs voice was tense, like the mood had immediately changed. Beezle does take in the mood change instantly. "Not—Not that I'm disliking it, but I would've assumed by now we both gotten the cold shoulder.." Cold shoulder, huh? Wolf doesn't necessarily blame Beezle for thinking that.
He partially assumed the same, so neither are guilty or innocent.
Wolf gave a few set of clicks. They weren't negative or positive—It was all neutral. "I can't say I didn't agree. I maybe thought the same." Beezle let a trill come from their chest. "At least you're honest about it." "... Yeah." The ship turned mute, the only noise being the engine and the slow breathing of one another.
This is going to be a long trip.
