Very well done video!
Quick Langblr Announcement
Think outside the box.
just remember that languages aren’t just learned through Duolingo exercises or poring through grammar workbooks. You can literally learn a language IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE.
do you like figure skating? read an article in L’Equipe about it. do you love the environment? find a podcast in German about green living. hungry? look in the refrigerator and try to list the items in there in your target lang(s). If you don’t know how to say ‘ice cream’ or ‘potato’, by all means, look it up!
lessons and grammar are great and important to learning a language, but there are SO many ways to practice your lang/learn something new. I mean, a lot of the french idioms and slang I’ve learned came from my French mutuals on Tennis Twitter/exchanging insults with my friend from Montréal.
And if you ever want someone to practice with, you can always give me a ring :)
TV series, movies, books, article, radio shows... whatever exists😂😉
Studyblrs! Please turn off "Best Stuff First" in “Dashboard Preferences” in General Settings
REBLOG TO SAVE A BLOG (DO IT FOR YOUR OWN BLOG!)
You’re missing out on heaps of original study tips posts and heaps of great stuff by creators, not just me! My study tips are really detailed but can be specific at times, I don’t want to have to resort to poorer quality posts or clickbait titles to bring in the activity :’(
Studyblrs are one of the biggest communities on tumblr, we can make a difference!
@staff please remove this feature! I’m an original study tips maker and this killed my activity! Tumblr is about original creators as much as reblogging, and having this option on will mean only the popular bloggers get featured more and more. It’ll be so much harder for new studyblrs to get a foot in!
Reblog to protect your own original content from being filtered!
Check your activity graphs. I’m sure you’ll find yours drops off at the same date. #spreadtheword #protectyourcontent #protectoriginalcontent
We’ve all been there: You have stuff you need to get done, you know you need to get it done, but no matter what you do you just cant get yourself to take out your stuff and do your work.
I have this problem quite a lot, so here’s a post to help some of you out!

How to recover an unsaved draft on Microsoft Word
This literally saved my ass a few minutes ago. Yes, you can recover those files that you accidentally closed and thought you couldnt get back.
Right after that happens, open Microsoft Word again and click File - Info - Manage Versions - Recover Unsaved Documents.
It is literally that simple.

[✨20/100 days of productivity✨]
fixed my room, studied precalc and science, rewrote a lot of notes, finished a bunch of homeworks and watched american horror story. i’m proud of my productivity today 🌞
“Your only limit is you.”
I’ve just rewritten my Advanced English notes, I love this new layout!
My notes for my “consecutive interpretation” class, super awesome and interesting 😍
I am a freshman in college and I’m taking a Psychology of African Americans class. Whenever we talk about the issue of colorism, I don’t participate bc I don’t want people making comments about what I say. I’m brown skin and don’t consider myself light. I don’t say brown skin bc I’m trying to escape from being called “dark skinned ”, it’s just that I don’t know what to consider myself since I tan brownish. My skin tone in the summer is the same as Candice Patton (if you guys know her) and I just get lighter in the fall and winter (as does everyone else). I do acknowledge that bc I am lighter than others, I will get some privileges. However, im still not light skin. I don’t know if I’m allowed to speak on the topic of colorism bc I’m not “dark enough ” . But I do have things to contribute to the conversation.🤦🏽♀️I just don’t want to take away from anyone else’s issues.
As an Italian person living in Italy, I find the problem and all the comments below kinda ridiculous. 1st I see you as a black person like every other black person in the world but I mean, I probably can't understand the "privilege" since I don't live in the US. 2nd what the hell does "I'm privileged so I can't talk about it" mean?! It sounds so weird and wrong to me. I'm Italian and white but that doesn't mean I can't talk about US and race issues to support the 'unprivileged' people. Being light skinned is not a fault and what they tell you looks like reversed racism to me. I'm really sorry about it.
Work Smarter, Not Harder: study tips psychology taught me
study in shorter intervals and take breaks (ie, 40 minutes studying and 20 minutes break)
during your break don’t watch tv or surf the internet. get outside if you can and go for a walk. or at least listen to some instrumental music and walk around your hall. or meditate or do some art. anything that doesn’t require super directed attention. this allows your attention to be replenished. it’s like a muscle and you gotta give it time to rest. tv doesn’t allow for that.
relate the information to yourself and your life. creating visual images will improve your memory.
when studying, take notes by hand and put them in your own words. generating material yourself will encode the material better in your brain, and you’ll remember it better
don’t just reread, rehearse! quiz yourself on the materials. if you use a visual image “memory palace” technique, walk yourself through it. you’re likely to remember information you’ve tested yourself on better.
organizing information into groups that make sense create more connections in your brain and allow you to remember things better. the more meaningful connections you make, the better.
make sure the last thing you do before bed is study. no phone, no netflix. your brain will process what you’ve just done while you sleep and this improve recall.
(feel free to add any!)
• video game music helps. its designed to keep you engaged on the task at hand or dubstep. if you’re someone really into games, like me, the music will distract you. i listen to “ambient bass for studying” on google play that helps to keep me focused for a full hour. •when summarizing your notes from a text book, it should fit onto a sticky note. if it can’t, make it shorter and THEN put it onto lined paper and make it pretty whatever helps you to remember. same with lecture notes, summarize each chunk into a few sentences and then make it pretty on another paper.
