Isaiah 40:30-31 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. This morning my Dad and I went for a walk, up a hill! When we made it to the top we began to take in the view, I was blown away! The storm from this week has passed and the beauty of God's creation was before our eyes. As I took in the view I was reminded that this past year my life has been just like the storm. Last Christmas was very dark and raining for me. It was full of extreme pain; I could barely walk down the hallway before my pain level was too high and my energy was gone. It's a storm that I prayed and continue to pray will pass. As my storm in my health journey is still passing. I want to take in the view of God's goodness today. Today, one year later I walked up a hill! I mean I walked up like it was nothing and I even came home with energy! #healthyeah #healingwithhurtstillhurts #joyinthemoment

Care...

I was sitting in church and the teaching was on how a true leader is a caring leader. On my drive home I began to process all of the lows that I have faced with this disease and began to be moved by those who have cared for me in those dark moments. Letting others in to care for me is so much harder than me caring for those around me. Some may call it me being proud but I think that it's more me learning to be vulnerable. It's not always pretty and I definitely don't have it all together. This disease makes you so weak that your only option some days is to allow others to meet your immediate need. It might be a friend bringing you food because you're too weak to leave the house, a text saying you're praying for my pain, a phone call asking how am I really doing, driving me to my third doctor apt of the day because I wanted to give up, and this one is the hardest for me...allowing family to step in and help me pay for unexpected bills. Caring for others is definitely something that we are all called to do! But we caring people need to allow others to come in and bless us too. I am still learning to allow others in during the pain and I've learned we are all a work in progress. #lymedisease #caring #hurtingwithhopestillhurts

I know you mean well but please think before you say anything to someone who is processing through their own emotions on their diagnoses.

Clean and juice the above fruits. Pour into glass mason jar and add fresh mint. This juice is really sweet but one of the favs!
