10.12.2014 - Prepping
Prepped for Monday's juicing... barely made 4 cups (8cups total) :|
1 bunch of celery, 2 tomatoes, 3 apples (2 red, 1 green), 6 bunches of kale, 6 carrots, 1.5 cucumber (12 inches), 2 inches of ginger, 1/2 lemon
and added 1 shot of Berry Rice Vinegar.
Again...the smell of celery overpowered everything else... D:
10.12.2014 Mean Green Juice
Made another juice... and barely was able to gulp it down x_x!!
The smell of celery overpowered everything else... x_x;
I really don't like celery's lol... although I can tolerate them in V8 juices.
4 stalks of celery, 8 leaves of Kale, 1-inch of ginger, half a lemon, 2 apples for 2 cups ( I just drank 1)
10.11.2014 - 1st juice
Made my first juice... and.... I didn't like it x_x!!! It was too sweet for me, haha...
8oz of 8 carrots and 2 apples.
Did measurements and took photos to measure from start til end.
Day .5
Got my juicer on Friday!! Yay!!
So ready to start juicing! The main reason why I wanted to juice was for the health benefits.. I watched "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" via Netflix and felt inspired to really try this out.
To give a little background... I would say that physically, I would appear to be an average fit young woman, I work out on the regular with cardio and strength training, I don't eat excessively. However, inside this nice body, I have numerous joint/muscle pains, anxiety, lack of motivation, weird digestion problems, constant bloating after meals(water too), constipation, etc... Point is.. looks are deceiving.
By taking part in this one month detox by juicing (80 veggies : 20 fruits) and flushing out my body with 1L of water everyday, I hope to really reboot my system and clear the toxins that are causing harm to by body internally. I've tried Chiropractor and Acupuncture, but it seems that it's just "band-aiding" for a quick fix of the bigger issue.
It definitely will not be easy in the beginning, but in the long run, I'll be healthier both internally and externally.
Let the juicing begin!
