Well, don’t I look like a dork.
You still have pretty eyes. Those hideous goggle things can’t hide them.
….Um, thanks.
You’re welcome. So, what are you doing after school?
Nothing exciting. I was planning on going to The Dot to work on my English essay. What about you?
You know me. My life is always exciting…haha. No, really that sounds perfect. Mind some company?
Sure. I mean, if you need to work on the essay too, we might as well do it together.
Really? Sounds like a deal. Coffee and those…cookie…brownie…things you like are on me. Least I could do.
That’s nice of you, but it’s not necessary. I can pay for myself.
I know. I’m just saying…least I could do you know. For last year. It sounded better in my head.
It’s okay. All is forgiven. You’re better now, right? You got help?
Um Sure. Right. I did.
OOC/

Possibly heading there after school with Clare. Plan working perfectly. I mean, after school work. Exciting.
It should be fun. Well, as fun as schoolwork can get.
Schoolwork=big yawn. But, it's the company that makes it fun. Great, I shall meet you there.

Feel so Numb

Hearse Driver: Feel Nothing
hearse-driver:
For @ThetrueClare:
Degrassi Community School loomed up in front of him as the former hearse driver stepped out of the bus. He leaned on his black cane, hand gripping the fake gold skull. A nervous, weary look crossed his features and Eli drew in a deep breath. “Get it over with.” he told himself.
Clare kissed her mother goodbye and quickly got out of the car. She sighed and resisted the urge to roll her eyes. It was the first day back from break and she was already late. Biting her bottom lip, she glanced around. Perfect, she thought sarcastically. I'm the only one around. Clare swiftly climbed up the front steps of the school, then pulled open a heavy glass door.
Once she was inside the building, Clare began the walk to her locker. She was halfway there when a security guard entered her line of vision. Before the guard could see her and write her up for being in the hallways without a pass, Clare turned on her heel. She wasn't sure where she was going, but anywhere had to be better than here.
The petite girl had just rounded a corner when she realized that she wasn't the only person that was present in the hallway. Clare turned her gaze towards the ground, only to see that the person had a cast. She bit her lip and shut her eyes. This couldn't be happening right now. Clare wasn't able to be around Eli at the moment. She was still harboring feelings for the guy, but it wasn't the right time for them to be together. Eli needed help, and that was why they broke up.
She still felt bad for leaving him in the hospital room, but Clare hoped that it made Eli realize that he needed to get better. Although she tried not to show it, she cared for him deeply. Clare opened her eyes and trailed her eyes up to the person's face, only to be met with a pair of mesmerizing green eyes. No doubt about it, it was Eli.
"Eli. Hey," She said breathlessly, trying to disguise the fact that she was nervous. Clare contorted her face in an attempt to smile and lighten the mood. Needless to say, she failed miserably. Her expression quickly faded and Clare began to look around the hallways; Taking in the chipped paint on the walls, the lockers covered in stickers, the scuffed floors. Anywhere but at him.
She couldn't look at him.
It all hurt too much.
Eli was glad he was doped up. He felt like a zombie, and probably looked like one too. It was the medication that he'd been taking. Mind numbing meds that made him a docile, good boy. They also took out all the creativity he had. At night, he'd be staring at his notebook, pen in hand. Nothing would come out of his mind which made him furious.
"Hi." Eli finally spoke, glad that nobody really was here yet. The halls were oddly empty for the first day of school. Eli turned and shut his locker. He wanted to crawl inside of it but this had to happen eventually, didn't it? "How was your summer?" He looked detached, and his voice sounded as though he were very far away and not a few inches away from Clare.
Eli had thought about their relationship all summer long. He'd spoken to his doctor about it, and that's where the meds came in. The meds worked for a while, but he wasn't feeling it. For his parents sake, he would take them. Be a good boy...Eli blinked the ironic thought away. "Have a good one?" He was talking to Clare as though she were a stranger, someone he hadn't known as well as he did.
Now he didn't know what else to say. Eli glanced around wishing he knew more people here than Adam. Someone had to rescue him from this awful, awkward feeling. "Write...anything?" Eli asked awkwardly.

Feel Nothing
For @ThetrueClare:
Degrassi Community School loomed up in front of him as the former hearse driver stepped out of the bus. He leaned on his black cane, hand gripping the fake gold skull. A nervous, weary look crossed his features and Eli drew in a deep breath. "Get it over with." he told himself.
Eli headed into the building. He brushed past some students, many whispering about the huge cast on his leg. Eli ignored the whispers and comments and made his way down a flight of stares. He winced a little when pressure was added to his foot; It was still kinda hard to get used to walking with a cast. A Giant ass cast, at that.
He made his way towards his locker, undoing the combination that they'd given out and sticking his belongings inside it. He hadn't seen her yet, but he'd looked. He figured she'd be with Alli or maybe Jenna...but no signs yet. Eli shrugged to himself and got the books for first period.
Not that it mattered. Right now he was in a hazy fog, and that's how he liked it. A fog where nothing hurt. He had no opinions, no feelings. He was...nothing. The only drawback to that was it tampered with his creativity. Just the right way to start the school year.
Eli closed his locker. He slung his back pack over his shoulder and started to limp down the hallway. So far, so good. If he could just keep this up this year was off to a good start. The hearse driver was just glad that he didn't have feelings anymore, and that they couldn't hurt him.
Nothing could.
And nobody could.
The bell for first period rang.
I'm not right.

Any excuse to go to Clare’s house.
Because I'm just a thoughtful kinda guy ;D
