My name is Melanie & I'm from Denver, Colorado. I'm 29 years old and work in the healthcare field.

This is my second blog, as I was getting harassed on my first, which is sad because I had almost 3K followers. But a fresh start has been nice.

There’s a quiet kind of grief in realizing my life may never be big, full, or beautiful the way I once dreamed it would be.

No deep friendships. No love story.

No spontaneous trips, no concerts, no adventures, no memories that feel worth holding onto.

Just days that repeat themselves, one after another, survival disguised as living.

I used to dream so loudly about a different life. A fuller one. A life where I mattered to people.

Now I spend most days shrinking my expectations, swallowing the ache, learning how to exist without hoping for more.

And the hardest part isn’t the loneliness, it’s grieving the person I thought I’d become in a life I’ll probably never get to live.
