“A shy animal? Are you certain this one belongs to you?”
“Animals are actually quite shy, Rose. Forest animals are the shyest of us humans. That’s why they run away from you. She is-- kind of...”
Patricia smiled, approaching the animal slowly. “She seems sweet. May I pet her?”
“Yes, yes you may. Come, come. She loves affection, really. Just make one gentle, smooth movement from her head to the end of her tail.”
“A shy cat? I have never heard of such a thing before.”
“It does happen. A lot of cats are deemed cruel to their owners, but their not. They’re just shy when they want their attention. Or very particular on when they want it...”
“Strange? Hanna, I hardly know what you mean.” As far as Godric’s memory served, he only recalled scanning through ledgers and adjusting finances at his desk.
“The times when you sing your lovely numbers? Every time I’ve seen you work, you’re serenading the numbers. I mean, you are a quite beautiful hummer to me so I’m not complaining.”
“She is beautiful, what’s her name?”
“Uhm, cause she’s a little beauty, I’ve called her Belle. The french uses that name for Beautiful. Would you like to pet her?”
Briar glanced down at the cat and a smile tugged at her lips. “How old is she?”
“Uhm...” Hanna said, looking at the stray. She could have sworn she’d seen it and brought it in a couple of times. “Possibly three or four... I can’t exactly remember she was born. Poor memory I have.”
“Oh my God, she is adorable. Can I pet it?”
“Of course you can Phoebe. Just be very gentle, she has a swore spot on her side. She was playing a little too much with the other cats.”
Dette looked at the cat with a gentle smile on her face. “She is a beauty. What is her name?”
Hanna looked down at the cat with a gentle pursing of her lips, thinking of the name. The cat was cuddly, trusting when Hanna found her. “Belle...” Hanna said, looking up at Dette “Yea, I like that name for her...”
Hera: Ohana means family. Family means that nobody gets left behind or forgotten.
Hades: Unless you're me.

“Thank you for your kind offer but all I need is some more rest. That I am afraid you cannot help me with.”
“Some rest? Well, I do have some tea and herbs that can help with getting some sleep. I use them all the time whenever I’m having terrible nightmares. Would you like some?”
“Aloud? Pray, tell, what is the purpose?”
“Was I saying it aloud? Oh, must be a habit then from all these years.” Hanna shrugged before raising a brow. “Even though there should be no purpose since this is my quarters after all. I can do whatever I want...in good taste. May I repeat a number of times I’ve caught you doing something rather strange in your own quarters?”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about. I’ve had this beauty for awhile. He-- I mean She, has just been really shy up until lately.”
“What are you doing?”
“’I want to tell you,’ He said furthermore as he came closer to her...” Hanna turned around, seeing Godric at her door. “I am reading a fairy tale to myself. Can I not do that?”
“I am alright, I am simply finding my own two feet again. There has been so much change lately that even my dreams are affected.”
“Is there anything I can help you with? Some tea? Some reassurance? Anything?”

Persephone smile affectionately to her aunt and nodded in the process. “I am glad to hear you are well and, let me assure you, no one treats me better than him. He is different than all the tales spun around him.” She admitted with a soft smile gracing her features, before it turned to a sad one. “No, I haven’t yet. It is the first time since I ascended from the Underworld and I am a little scared. Demeter isn’t the most lenient one out there.” She said with a light chuckle. “I will go tonight, I believe. To see her.”
Hestia nodded along with Persephone as she talked. She knew her brother was a kind soul despite what others ( mainly Demeter ) felt about him. Years of hardening like Hades did could do that to a God like him. “This is true. My brother is rather harsh sometimes, but he does have a gentle side as well. I’m glad you can see that the most out of everyone.” Hestia smiled softly as her niece was a little afraid to see her mother. She took her hands and squeezed them gently for encouragement. “She just misses you, that is all. You are her baby in her eyes after all, despite that you have now grown into a beautiful goddess. Just keep that in mind when visiting her, alright?”

“That doesn’t make sense,” Artemis frowned as she took her eyes from the family and looked at the other goddess fully. You say you don’t regret your vows, yet you wish for a family of your own. So you must regret your vows at least in some part.” Freya herself was struggling with questioning if making her own had been a wise choice, but she attributed that to her anger at her brother and her recent loss of Orion. It had been many years since his death to the mortal world, but to her, time seemed short. “I’m sure family does always come together, but sometimes it is hard,” was all she could say on that matter.
“Artemis, do you know why I swore on my oath and went against my wishes to start a family of my own? Because I didn’t want to cause a fight and a rift between my current family. I choose them and not my selfish needs. Do I regret that decision? No, I do not. Do I regret having my oath? No I do not. Do I regret not being to have children of my own, a family to call my own, someone to actually call me mother, a baby that is mine to cherish and love unconditionally forever? Of course I have that regret. But I will never, never go back on my promise, no matter how much it hurts me to make that promise.”
Her voice broke at that point before looking back at the mortal family, watching as one of children hugged their mother, giving her sloppy kisses. Hestia breathed in deeply, closing her eyes. “It’s hard, but you have to learn to forgive and forget. Tht is the first step of bringing a family back together.

Lachesis’ expression lightened as she observed the family. It was a mundane, domestic scene, not something she would usually waste her time with when there were heroes to watch, but there was something beautiful about it none the less. Once again it made her wonder of this human love. “It is, isn’t it? I’m sure my sisters would not agree but…there’s something…light about it. How did you manage to find them out of all the mortals in the world?”
“Your sisters tend to have other things that they like. You’re much more connected with the mortals though, Lachesis, unlike your sisters.” Hestia said, giving a smile to the fate. “It’s the genuine happiness that these mortals give off, not forced or anything of the sorts. It wasn’t that hard to find them. See, every time they give an offering, they’re ones that pray to continue their happiness and the life they’ve been given. I waned to visit them and I see why they asked for such thing.”
