Proverbs 21:3 "To do righteousness and justice Is desired by the Lord more than sacrifice." If Martin Luther King were alive today, I imagine he would tell people in higher positions of power that there's still discrimination and inequality in 2021. We as a nation have to wake up and stop ignoring the false beliefs that discrimination and inequality doesn't exist. People who have never faced hardships based on the color of their skin, ethnicity, gender, socioeconomic class, religion, disabilities, nationality, etc., that is called privilege. As Americans we have seen organizations that claim on their polices that Black Lives Matter, but they haven't acknowledged how they too have created inequality and discrimination. For example, Pinterest claimed they were for BLM, but when two Black American women spoke up about how they were discriminated based on their gender and ethnicity, they were never given a public apology and were not compensated for the damages that were caused by this company. If we really want to see change in our society, we as individuals have to acknowledge our own flaws during times we may have discriminated, hurt or looked down on others without realizing it. We must own our part in how we've hurt others from black communities and people of color, ask for forgiveness and how to do better. There's more that needs to be said and more that needs to be done about this reoccurring issue. For today lets acknowledge this will take time and work for the better for our society. #Mlkday #Mlkweekend #Mlkquotes #MartinLutherKingJr #Justice #BLM #Marginalized #Oppressed #Dowhatisright #Speakforthosewhocantspeak #Acknowledgethehurt #Acknowledgethebroken #Jesus #Godofmercyandjustice #sanfrancisco #mlkmemorial #justice #righteousness #water #water_fall (at San Francisco, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CKMTcBNDTKM/?igshid=39bl4iqy70rf
