“Is this the right table?”

Eorzea was lonely. Okay. He could admit it. So, perhaps, when one of the maurauders offered to set him up with a blind date he agreed. At best he would have a lovely evening and possibly romance. At worst he would get dinner.

So, it was a bit of a surprise when the voice spoke up. Hikaru looked up and nodded. “It is- If you’re looking to Hikaru. Are you?”

Oh, she was cute.

“Hikaru! Yes. I’m Mila. My brother said you would be expecting me?” Her tone was friendly enough, but her words suggested that perhaps Mila was not completely aware of exactly what sort of dinner ‘meeting’ had been arranged for her. As the oblivious blonde extended her right hand towards him, she smiled and briefly looked Hikaru over. “I...feel under-dressed. I should have known any business connection of Chai’s would require more formal wear. Sorry about that.”

Heartwood had their Valentine Ball this year with a good show up! For those who had their pictures taken, a special valentine frame was made and handed out!  Next year will be bigger!

Chai during Cartenau

He and his company was hired by a private person from Ul’dah, who donated their services to the war effort. Having grown up around Garlean forces, he was a handy source of information about where to strike.

Mila arrived right on time for their lunch date, her smile brightening as she spotted Chai at a table and headed his way. “I hope I didn’t keep you waiting!” she grinned, leaning down to kiss her brother’s cheek and give him a hug. He rose from the chair a moment after she released him and felt around beneath the table until he found what he was searching for, producing a gorgeous bouquet of flowers.

“I was a little early, but I came early on purpose so I could surprise you with these..." Chai looked so sweet and happy, eager to please, just like he had when he was a small boy doing his best to be useful in the tribe. As he presented her with the flowers, Mila felt her eyes getting watery.

"You...you are the sweetest brother anyone could ever hope for! Come here." She set the flowers aside to hug him again, holding on tight as she thanked the universe for returning Chai to her.
