Strike after strike, Riku watched as Roxas cut down shadow after shadow, oathkeeper and oblivion striking through the creatures with vicious damage as he then glanced up to Riku, landing at the foot of the skyscraper. Anger shot through him as he realized that this was his doing, sprinting up the monolith of a building. The keyblades were brought down to his sides, scraping the tips along the side as he ran up the building; Riku diving off the top and hurtling down towards the male just as Roxas tossed oblivion at him, a failed attempt of a strike blitz to which Riku merely snags it out of the air.
The distance began to close between the two, though then a realization struck Riku's thoughts; of his best friend in that pod. The opportunity was missed now as he tossed his weight forward, a small flip now as he crashed to the ground and dropped to a crouch, swiftly standing and slashing the blade through the air, cutting through several of the neoshadows within a matter of seconds. Roxas dropped to the side of the male, taking out the last remaining creatures before then turning to the snow haired male.
A single conversation slips through them, Riku trying to convince Roxas to come with him of his own free will...though it doesn't work. A sigh slipped through parted tiers as he charged at Roxas, crashing blades with him and lashing out. Several strikes lashed out once more, clashing and then being deflected by the male as he then was struck so hard that it knocked him off his feet, sending him down to smack onto his back with a loud 'oof!'.
"Why?! Why do you have the keyblade?!"
"...Shut up!" Roxas glared down at the Oathkeeper, seeing how that was the same damned question he had wanted to find out, bringing the blade up to strike down at Riku, however that was a fatal mistake. Riku's hand surged out and scooped up the oblivion on the ground next to him, swiftly tossing himself up and spinning around, swiping powerfully at him and spinning around, knocking the male high into the air and to land onto his back ten feet away, unconscious from how hard Riku hit him.
A small sigh slipped out his lips now as he stood over the unconscious boy, wondering if this all could have been avoided now as he drove the keyblade into the ground next to his face. He felt he had won...but then he saw the male regaining consciousness already, forcing himself up and grabbing the blade tightly, pulling it from the ground and slashing straight for Riku, who merely jumped back a couple feet.
Roxas didn't let the assault stop there though, swiftly tossing aside all common sense as he charged forward, his steps swift as his target was locked in his mind. Riku snarled and shot out his right arm, black aura flowing around his palm as a blast of pure black flames flew out towards the boy, though Roxas leaped and slashed clean through it, letting it explode around him as he landed on the ground before Riku, swiftly slashing at his chest once more. Riku was too swift though, merely leaping back from him once more.
A smirk formed over Riku's lips now as he chuckled lightly, bringing out his hands before him in a 'bring it on!' gesture. "Come on Sora! I thought you were stronger than that!" The taunt was for a response, to see if maybe Diz was wrong...that Roxas wasn't Sora's nobody.
"Get real! Look which one of us is winning!" But the response even shocked Roxas, Riku's features turning grim as he sighed lightly, now knowing the truth.
"So its true. You really are his Nobody. Guess DiZ was right after all."
"What are you talking about?! I am me! Nobody else!" His left hand shot out to the side, Oathkeeper reforming in his hand once more as he gripped the hilts of both keyblades tightly, sprinting towards Riku once again but then leaping in the air, slashing with the right handed keyblade to the male. A simple step to the side was all he needed to do to dodge it, however Roxas wasn't stupid. He landed and swiftly brought the keyblades down, crossing them over his arms as he spun and then backhand slashed the oblivion straight at Riku. There was no time for moving for this one; his arms came to his chest, swiftly preparing a weak barrier to protect himself, however the strike alone shattered the barrier and broke his arm upon impact.
Riku winced and skid back a few feet, dropping to his knees as he panted heavily, gripping the broken arm tightly as he grit his teeth from the pain.
"How many times do I have to beat you?"
"Alright...You've left me with no other choice."
"I have to release the power in my heart--the dark power that i've been holding back." His hand reached up and pulled the blindfold from around his eyes, letting it fall to the ground before him as he knew the results of what he was about to do. "Even...if it changes me forever." Energy began to swirl about his feet as he brought his arms to his chest, then shot them back out to his sides once more, pain exploding through his body as four dark pillars of energy rose up and formed around him, a fifth one connecting them all and rising up into the air as Roxas merely watched in shock, swallowing lightly as he gripped his blades tightly, waiting for the enemy to appear once more.
The darkness cleared away now, the male having changed as his skin had begun a dark chocolate shade, his cyan optics now pure golden as he glared coldly at Roxas. He had easily grown an additional two feet in height, standing around 6'5 in height as he floated above the ground. His arms crossed over his chest, his snow white hair having grown out more and flowing down to the middle of his more muscular and filled out torso. The shadows connected to his feet, a guardian of sorts having risen from them behind him as it was ready to do as its master commanded.
A swift movement, so swift that Roxas couldn't see Riku move, and then the figure was before the blonde. His keyblades were still at his side as he was shocked, and then the guardians large claws smashed against his sides and lifted him up, squeezing the life out of him. The boy squirmed and tried to fight the monster's grip...though it was futile. His unconscious body slumped into the guardians arms as Riku pulled his hood up over his face, sighing lightly.
I won't let you fade...not when you have a chance for a life.Nobody or not...someone does care about you. I will save Sora my own way.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
His boots scuffed along the ground now as he approached the same spot he left the maroon haired woman, his much taller form obviously not to be known however the darkness surged about his feet with each step. Riku had his hood still drawn over his face, obviously not going to speak or reveal himself when he only would see and hear the one man who he hated more than anything else.
A sigh would slip out quietly as he is gloved hands were at his sides, gripping onto the hood of the unconscious blonde behind him before tossing the child onto the ground. He was definitely out cold, so he knew he wouldn't feel a thing until he woke. His left arm was still aching from the strike, it hanging down at his side as he hadn't been able to properly take care of it yet.
After delivering the male to the woman, he then turned and began to walk off. He wouldn't say anything. He just couldn't, nor could he reveal to her this...change...this...thing....he has become.
