What was your favorite scene from titanic
this might just be bc i’m biased and i love cal but my fav scene is probably the scene where he gives rose the heart of the ocean. it’s the only time in the film where we see a deeper part to him and his true feelings for rose. it’s such a tender scene and while some people argue that cal giving rose the hoto was just him trying to bribe her to sleep with him, etc. i truly think that the only way cal could comfortably show his love and affection for rose was through money and gifts (since back then esp for upper class men, being overly emotional was looked upon as being weak). however, i also truly love the deleted scene of jack and rose walking on the decks and looking at the stars after the third class party, it’s like a cinderella after the ball sort of the vibe and it’s very bittersweet (i wish they’d left it in :///)

#how to breakup with ur bf on a sinking ship: a memoir by caledon hockley
Cal stands at the open safe. He stares at the drawing of Rose and his face clenches with fury. He reads the note again: “DARLING, NOW YOU CAN KEEP US BOTH LOCKED IN YOUR SAFE, ROSE”. Lovejoy, standing behind him, looks over his shoulder at the drawing. Cal crumples Rose’s not, then takes the drawing in both hands as if to rip it in half. He tenses to do it, then stops himself.
A woman’s heart is a deep ocean of secrets.. But now you know that there was a man named Jack Dawson. And that he saved me. In every way a person can be saved. I don’t even have a picture of him... he exists now, only in my memory...
