I like looking through dead blogs.  The ones that haven’t been updated in 6+ months, or years even. Some leave by saying that they’re not as into DnP as they used to be.  Others say that life or school are getting too hectic.  But the ones I find the most interesting are the ones that don’t say anything at all.  The ones that just leave with a giff or an ask as if it were any other day.  

And I wonder where are they now? Are they happier? What do they do with their free time? Do they watch DnP? Do they know Dan’s wearing a hoop earring? Would they care? Had they been thinking about leaving and not saying anything, or did it just happen, gradually, without a conscious thought?

It also makes me think, whose next? I don’t have a lot of people in my life, and looking everyday at my favorite blogs is important to me.  You are all important to me.  And I want you to know that if you decided to leave there are people who will miss you, and remember you.

But untimely I like doing it because it makes me wonder, when will I leave? When will I stop obsessing about Dan and Phil? Is that day close, or nonexistent? Will it happen with a drastic change in my life, a new relationship, a new country, or will I just get bored? I don’t know, I guess none of us do.  

This is a weird ass place that we have here.  And I’m so glad that it exists, for all the years that it has lasted and however many it has left.

one of my favourite yet underrated moments of the mukbang video was when phil mentioned dan not liking to eat on camera, and then when dan started to eat, phil mentioned it again and told him he was doing well. i really love that dan then, instead of getting upset, sat and explained to phil as to why sometimes pointing something out to someone isn’t always a good thing, then gave him an explanation to help understand, and phil sat and genuinely listened and then agreed with him and said “you’re right. shouldn’t have mentioned it.” and then for the duration of the video, phil doesn’t mention it again.

this is such a good example of how good their communication is; the way dan helps phil understand why, and the way phil is obviously listening and taking it all in to make sure he doesn’t do it again.

a lot of people joke and wonder how the hell dan and phil managed to make their relationship last as long as it already has, but i think a big reason to that is clearly how good their communication is with one another. they may not always be on the same wavelength as each other, or on the same page, and that’s fine and okay and naturally going to happen time to time, but they do constantly seem to want to understand each other and see from the others viewpoint when it comes to making sure the other is comfortable.

and that my friends, is true love.
