ffsbelen:
belen looked at her confused , not even bothering to question how she managed to get an entire stash of forged doctor’s notes . it was none of his business , and he didn’t actually really care to hear the story . “ you have a note for sitting at the wrong table ? i’d love to see you try and use that . “ he shook his head , going back to eating . someone like heather would normally drive him up the wall . and sometimes she did . but given their similar upbringings , belen tried to cut a little bit of slack . glancing around he nodded at her question . “ yes , i always try to come when no one’s here . “ he shook his head . “ no ? too much time around people is what’s maddening . “
“ uh, yeah. “ she snorted as if his query was a ridiculous one, but regardless she took a bite of the sandwich on her plate and set it back down before looking around them. Honestly, Heather couldn’t really blame Belen. In a way she understood where the desire to be left alone could stem from. Hell, she’d met plenty of kids that preferred solitude over company on her travels from house to house. Some were just afraid to make any connection only to have it broken as soon as their lives were unexpectedly uprooted. Some were hardened by horrible pasts, and other’s -well- they were just introverts. Heather wasn’t sure which applied to the son of ares (if any), but she liked to cut him some slack regardless. “ i don’t know, this spot seems like a good start to a horror movie if you managed to get the whole place to yourself. though, i guess we sort of live in a horror movie... actually, i’d consider it more like an action-adventure / romcom... know what i mean ?? “ she babbled.
