Liebes Pare- Joe Gantz
i gave up and let it go
hiding behind my shame
a delusion of ambition
stung deliciously by the past
i hover and say i’ve leapt
raveling into myself
gushes and pushes
feral nature of my heart
consume what you must
wait to cross
another bitter conclusion
will you love me after all?
hold my hand as i give up?
loneliness is a friend for life
sits on the corner of my bed
drifting me to sleep
with a familiar sound of love
sunshine does wait
not in these winter days
snow will cover as u fall
deep into ur hidden world

“She didn’t need to be saved. She needed to be found and appreciated for exactly who she was.”
— j. iron word
i don’t know if i’ve ever posted about this before but this is the actual house i wrote house in nebraska about. it’s called the wasden house, it’s by the highway just south of quitman, georgia. a man killed his sister and her husband in 1937 there because they threatened to commit him to an asylum. an old friend of mine used to live down the road, we would drive by it all the time right after high school and i’d daydream about it constantly. i hope it goes up for sale every day.
