Some shots of my guys from the NYC Meetup today! I’m so happy with how Israfil is coming out, and Kyu is always beautiful. Issy’s mods aren’t fully painted yet, but hopefully will be soon.

Issy’s faceup looks SO AMAZING!! He’s really coming together! I love this weird-looking old man.
Look at the vest, not the pile of fabric behind it. This is for a commission but I am insanely proud of it. All that’s left to do is topstitch (if it’s desired,) bind the bottom and set the eyelets. I think I’ll make one for Kit on my vacay, it looks pretty good on him.

I’ve had a lot of inquiries but I don’t have infinite working time so I’ll only be taking 3 slots right now. I have one commission from the festival lined up already for July, so the 3 slots will be for August, September, and October. Based on recent commissions, I expect to be able to finish one per month while also resuming work on non-commissioned pieces but please remember that custom work may take up to 8 weeks to complete.

He has feathery black hair and seems to always wear a face mask over one cheek. Underneath the mask his jaw is exposed, and underneath his clothing, he’s missing a great deal of his torso.

I did it, I ordered a Holy Seolrok head. I am a sinner, but boy does it feel good.
This hobby is a black hole that sucks you in once you’re back in its orbit. I’m starting to understand how people end up with like 40 dolls.
Specifically, Switch - why do you have to have a limited pre-order for these specific heads right now?
Hot damn, someone was selling a damaged Chiwoo head for a reasonable price and I managed to grab it! I had a modded zombie Chiwoo many moons ago and sold him, and had planned to re-shell him as a Fairyland Lunnula or something like that because I didn’t think I’d find a decently priced Chiwoo. And yet! It happened!
Aaaaand this is why our household has collectively obtained like four dolls in the last 6 months.
Daniels new eyes came in, and I’m totally on love with them <3 they have an amazing depth without having a high dome (witch is perfect for him), and are just the right color :D Got them from Yovanka Black ArtDolls (etsy: https://www.etsy.com/shop/SOULinaBOXdolls), I can absolutely recommend them.
Also gave daniel a different wig + a haircut, thats way better than the furwig he had before, but… still not right. I really need to make him his own wig x.x
Plus Tobi got the pair of free eyes I got (because noone of my other dolls can rock 10mm pink eyes,orz), but I think they suit him just fine? :)
Took Carina to the forest for a nice photoshoot but I underestimated the power of mosquito armies, so there isn’t really much to show. I was just busy waving my hands and trying not to push the tripod at the same time. Still going back some other day, because I really liked the natural light there.
She is just so gorgeous! The fine lace of her skirt is beautiful and so in scale. And the jacket of course is amazing.
The faceup is WONDERFUL! I love those freckles, and her whole look is fantastic.
I don’t understand why someone would feel the need to STRIDENTLY defend the use of 100% acetone to clean doll face-ups with multiple people expressing that they’ve seen acetone soften or damage resin. Like trying to back up their use of acetone with ~science~ and claiming all cleaners will damage equally. What is this person’s stake in acetone??
Pro tip: don’t use acetone on resin because it causes damage very quickly
I’m so horribly tempted by cheap damaged doll bodies for mod purposes, but I worry about not being able to re-sell them later - and I definitely can’t hang onto a bunch of projects like that.

Fashion Moodboard - Sal (Volks SD16 Yukinojo)
Sal has a lot of affection for the Middle Ages and, consequently, for clothing inspired by the period. He knows how to be a snappy dresser when he needs to, or when Al tells him to, so he’s no stranger to suits. At the end of the day, though, nothing beats simple sturdy boots and a comfortable dad sweater.
