More menu's for ya
Scofflaw is my favorite place in Chicago by far. I thought this old menu should see the light of day.

The Getaway
A really nice Cynar Cocktail:
• 1 ounce Cruzan Black Strap Rum • ½ ounce Cynar • 1 ounce lemon juice • ½ ounce simple syrup

Well I put up the old menu, here's the new. Paul McGee is at it again with some insane cocktail choices at 3 Dots and A Dash. I hope they still know how to make the "Tall As A Tree Twice As Shady" and "Lonely Island."
Plenty of you already know the ins and outs of making an Old Fashioned, but let’s start the week out with a baseline.
Who better to set this standard than Chris McMillian. McMillian is something of a legend. He’s a fourth-generation bartender who’s been making classic cocktails long before they were popular (again.) Sheriff Melton said the culprit stole 195 bottles in three-bottle cases of Pappy Van Winkle 20 Year, which has a suggested retail price of $130 a bottle, and nine cases of 13-year-old…
I just found out that 3 Dots And A Dash is changing the cocktail menu. Out with the old and in with the new! I just thought I should preserve the old one. Paul McGee is a genius.

Offbeat drinks have a steeper hill to climb when it comes to attaining classic status. This cocktail from New York bartender Giuseppe Gonzalez is a paradigm shifter with its base of Angostura bitters, but the drink has a richness of flavor and such an alluring quality that it carries an outside chance of beating the odds.
1 oz. Angostura bitters 1 oz. orgeat 3/4 oz. lfresh emon juice 1/2 oz. rye whiskey (100 proof preferred) Tools: shaker, strainer Glass: cocktail
Combine ingredients in a shaker and fill with ice. Shake well to chill; strain into a chilled glass.
Here’s a neat essay on the history of Bénédictine — along with a tip of the cap to our FREE RIDER cocktail — via BarNotes:
A certain well-known ingredient appears in just about any well-stocked bar: Bénédictine D.O.M. This distinctive herbal liqueur is about 40% abv and has a complex flavor that contains notes of lavender, honey, and other botanicals, all of which linger and fade into one another the longer it…
