no but the way Shauna tearfully confesses how scared she is to Lottie. Lottie who will later terrify her & talk about the loss of the baby like it’s her loss too (in a way it is). Lottie who will 25 years later manipulate her way back into Shaunas life & try to take the child she did get to keep but never got to love the way she did her firstborn because that trauma broke her ability to love. Lottie who will be murdered by Shaunas daughter who Shauna could never properly love.

the way Mari is SO excited & jumps at the idea of throwing a baby shower for her good friend Shauna with the help of her other good friend Lottie. Lottie who will initiate the hunt that ends Maris life. Shauna who will excitedly spearhead that hunt & later violate Mari in the sickest ways imaginable.

The thing about Yellowjackets is that yes “haha lesbians & cannibalism yippee” but at the end of the day it really is such a horrific tragedy.

I'm obsessed with how beautiful this entire scene is. The color palette is stunning, full of earthy tones and that deep read that instantly becomes the center of attention. I also like all the close ups.

I also love the existance of frame #3; right after she touches the blood for the first time, we see a shot of her hands being completely clean, but then we go back to a shot of her hands covered in blood. It's our first hint that it's a hallucination.
