Buffy the Vampire Slayer, season 1, episode 2 - “The Harvest”. Cordelia and Harmony are struggling over this programming assignment, at one point saying,”Why do we have to devise these programs? Isn’t that what nerds are for?”
Code is from a Symantec C++ class library.
I really like this tumblr project. Also I like Buffy.

Said What?: The Good Meeting - overheard by anonymous, drawn by Jordan Jeffries
I want to reblog this because I’m really happy how this one came out but I JUST realized that I forgot his pocket in the last panel. I’m firing me tonight.
WIP from the last drawing:
1. Google Street View of OH suburb
2. GIS software, trace aerial photo of same place, get shapefile (.shp)
3. Export .shp to .dwg file, open in Rhino, make 3d model (add cylinders & boxes to get general sizes of people & trees)
4. Pick camera view of the model, Make2D, send lines to Illustrator (.ai)
5. Add line weights in Illustrator, click and drag finished lines to the Photoshop file as a Smart Object
6. Draw & color everything else in Photoshop
(also, Nadia’s tattoo is totally ripped off this image from the Escher Droste Effect Photoshop plugin website)
Wow, you have a fascinating workflow. I notice you have a lot more modeled than is showing in your final picture here. Are you using this setting for multiple pics or was that so you could walk the camera through it to explore angles? Thanks for sharing!
Even with the lack of having a physical presence within the scene being illustrated, with the usage of technology, the artist is able to render a realistic rendition of the space. Very interesting technique.
You belong to me.
I will have this as a print at AX!
Amazing, never enough Berserk fan illustrations.
Amazon Unpacked is a series by photographer Ben Roberts who was given the assignment of documenting the huge Amazon warehouse that was recently established at the small ex-mining town of Rugeley, UK.
Workers in Amazon’s warehouses – or “associates in Amazon’s fulfilment centres” as the company would put it – are divided into four main groups. There are the people on the “receive lines” and the “pack lines”: they either unpack, check and scan every product arriving from around the world, or they pack up customers’ orders at the other end of the process. Another group stows away suppliers’ products somewhere in the warehouse. “You’re sort of like a robot, but in human form,” said the Amazon manager. “It’s human automation, if you like.”

The score for this film by 久石 譲 (Joe Hisaishi) is quite phenomenal as well.

Sounds from Dangerous Places | Frameworkradio.net
I've been following this podcast for the better part of the year. http://frameworkradio.net is a 10+ year long audio curation by one individual by the name of Patrick McGinley. The show has a simple and elegant premise that is echoed at the beginning of every show:
welcome to framework. framework is a show consecrated to field-recording, and it’s use in composition. field-recording, phonography, the art of sound-hunting; open your ears and listen!
The episode that I believe would get any person who has no idea what this is about to engage and listen is the show entitled "Sounds from Dangerous Places". These field recordings were taken from abandoned theme parks to radioactive sections of Chernobyl. Beautiful and haunting, all of the shows are put together with empathy and great care. I highly recommend the following episodes as well.
