There are problematic things about our fandom, and some obnoxious people, as with any fandom, but being a part of this fandom feels like being a part of a family and nothing could ever compare with being in a space with other HedHeads celebrating the thing we all love with all our hearts! I've never felt this loved within a fandom before and I'm very thankful that I've been able to meet people through this show!
I know sexuality is self defined, but I know a lot of "straight" girls who talk about having a crush on Hedwig and I feel like being straight and having a crush in Hedwig are mutually exclusive things, because, however you look at it, Hedwig isn't cis.
when people say darrens praise for hedwig is undeserved, as massive of a fan i am of darren, i completely forgot it was him on stage for those 90 minutes. i loved it so much and he introduced me to a show that has now changed my life.
I honestly think Neil Patrick Harris didn't get the character. Most of the time it just seems like he perceives Hedwig as a reason to dress up in drag.
I hope whoever got the gummi-bear from the Belasco loves and cherishes it!
Shannon Conley deserves as much appreciation as Lena Hall and Rebecca Naomi Jones yet people seem to forget about her talent and overall awesomeness and that sucks.

I feel like, if any dfab pop stars should play Hedwig, my choices as to who I think would play Hedwig better than Miley Cyrus are Nicki Minaj and/or Lady GaGa; I think either of them would be fantastic, and I mean that with utmost sincerity!

i think miley cyrus would have been a great hedwig. she's gone through a lot, despite her age, because of her experience as a child star working for disney. i think that part of her can really relate to hedwig on a dimension that the others couldn't even touch - even neil, who was also a child star. miley was always forced to act pretty as hannah montana, and when she wasn't dressed up like that, she thought she wasn't pretty. there we go. hedwig right there.
Taye wasn’t right for Hedwig at all, he was too big and muscular and his voice was too deep. He is a great preformer but he wasn't right for the part
i've been so upset about the hedwig broadway run ending, but i felt a little better when i went to my friend's house and her korean karaoke machine happened to have 'the origin of love' and 'sugar daddy.' it made me realize that even though the show is closing, hedwig lives on everywhere.
You know, I wanted to see another woman have a go as Hedwig after the disaster that was Ally Sheedy...but Miley Cyrus would've been a full-blown apocalypse.

Am I the only one who thinks Darren Criss' Hedwig wasn't as great as people say? I think everybody is so blinded by the fact he was that kid from Glee, but honestly I thought his delivery of some lines was so off, the jokes weren't as funny as NPH or JCM telling them and his accent was a little all over the place. I'm just judging off one performance and I honestly, after seeing the hype on tumblr, found it to be an anticlimax.
I am actually SO SAD that Hedwig on Broadway is ending; I am going to miss it so much since it’s such a huge part of my life and it feels like so much is going to change when Hedwig leaves, with the Belasco and the publicity and the Cabs driving throughout New York, and I miss it already!
Honestly sometimes the only thing keeping me alive is Hedwig and the fact that I’m determined to play her someday so I can contribute to Hedwig helping to keep other people alive
