#genuinely absolutely fiercely believed that he was trying to save her from Mr Overly Friendly Grocery Man until the VERy end#him taking her dress and locking her in the attic so she can't go on the date: oh jeez that guy must be really bad!#thank goodness brahms was able to save her from whatever that overly-smiley constantly-flirty guy had planned!!#i am so for real. so incredibly forreal. like. i was SO convinced it was a massive fakeout and his parents were just stressed as hell#and unable to care for a kid who clearly had very unique needs and difficulty communicating in a traditional sense#like. early on what was his crime exactly. he messed up his room?? EVIL CHILD#weird rules and routines that he has meltdowns if disrupted??#in my heart brahms was a neurodivergent kid who was framed for the girl (by mr nice guy)#and then mr nice guy stuck around to continue gaslighting his parents and forcing brahms to keep hiding etc.#and brahms forced his nannies to leave bc he didn't want mr nice guy to hurt them too (since he seems to have it out for brahms)#i was so so so so so SO forreal sure.#like..he came out of hiding to save her. even when he was chasing them i was so. convinced. that he was trying to save her from niceguy#what is scarier: weird guy hides in walls OR isolated alienated guy is forced to hide in walls while watching his tormentor charm everyone#forcing him further into isolation and turning his loved ones against him over and over again#being gaslit to the point of believing he really is the monster they treat him as#DO YOU SEE. MY VISION
#he talks in a kid voice bc that was the last time his parents loved him and treated him even remotely normally. do you SEE#all it would've taken was one reveal moment where they finally lose him in the woods and she turns around and niceguy is holding a big rock#smiling like 'too bad it was a lot of fun while it lasted. can't wait to see how he reacts this time!'#imagine being framed for murder and having your own parents so utterly ashamed and disgusted with you that they set their house on fire#to kill you. and you live but just barely. and they make you a face that freezes you in time as someone they still loved#and replace you with a doll you have to live through vicariously because the real you is too monstrous and unlovable for your own parents#you are a neurodivergent semi-mute kid with ptsd who just lost the only friend you ever had (and have been convinced it's your fault)#you have been betrayed by everyone around you over and over because you are just that unlovable.#your parents don't see you. they only see their own shame. you are a living ghost.#you are alone. you are unseen. you are forced to hide. forever.#and a nice new person who clearly has her own issues shows up and seems to care about you even SLIGHTLY#follows your rules treats you (more or less) like a human. and the person who ruined your life sets his sights on her.#ever think about how brahms was trapped in the walls of a house for decades. with no one to talk to other than two people who can't even be
