How Does Google Remarketing Work?
Remarketing works by inserting cookies on a business’s website visitors’ device(s) when they visit the website. Their cookie ID is added to the remarketing audience list of the companies. Each of these cookies has a unique ID which gets automatically added to the remarketing list. A business can have more than one record for different criteria and membership.
There are some criteria to control the retargeting of your ads. These include the time period a cookie ID will stay in the list, impression caps, and the ability to block ads on some websites. A marketer can set a retargeting ad through age, location, interest or gender. Google has added more features and controls for marketers and advertisers. The Google remarketing feature now enables flexibility through upgraded Google Analytics code. It allows the marketers to create the list of cookies and manage it without the need to put a specific code on the websites.
