Reblog to save a duck
Quack quack
It’s getting to be that time of year where more people are going outside to parks and stuff so i thought it would a good idea to reblog this again
Once I was feeding some ducks from a bag of birdseed I brought with me, and this woman next to me looked so confused and asked what I was feeding them
When I said it was birdseed she just went “oh- can they actually eat that? Is that safe?”
I didnt know how to respond like, at all, so I just pointed at the duck and said “bird”
She then had a look on her face like a new groove was just forcibly carved in her brain and said softly “oh my fucking god”
if any of the ex gods were to cry form idk pain , emotions , shock ? would the tears be god tears ?
I don't think so.... And I don't think they could even before they were dethroned.
I see the God tears as a discharge of pure divinity. But seeing as the Bishops very much abused their powers, I don't think they would be able to produce something as pure and powerful as a God tear.
I think Yngya definitely cried god tears during her reign... And at its end.
Wait is the goat immortal, or are they just resurrected a bunch, since they’ve been by Lamb’s side since before the god stuff???
Yes! Goat was granted a golden skull back when they were cozying up to Shamura. But things went south and they ended up kicking it with Ratau back in his crown bearing days. They met Lamby when they came upon their village during the cult of the red crown's nomadic voyage seeking out the Lamb of Prophecy.
Any thoughts on how modern Lamb and Nari would dress? Would they just be the youthful old people/vampires who can't get with the times after who-knows-how-long being immortal?
Ohoho quite the contrary. Nari and Lamb would devour modern fashion. The fun colors, detailed patterns, comfy fabrics. Going from a time where fashion was only available to people of power or wealth, they appreciate how accessible quality garments are in the modern age. They despise fast fashion though. So wasteful.
(Now I wanna put together a collection of outfits for the pair)
Which character have you had the most/least fun designing or drawing?
I fricken love drawing Rina and Julity. Rin's so simple but so friend shaped, while Julity is so darling and I love adding the subtle nods to her indigenous inspiration.
Shamura is honestly a pain in the ass to draw, but I think I'm nearly happy with them. As far as designs go, I love her, but Yngya needs some work. I think I just need to use more references and rework her face proportions.
Did Narinder know Ara and Keru? Do/did they get along with Aym and Baal?
Oh Nari was the girls favorite babysitter. Big and strong to carry them around the village, always plays along with their games, and has the coolest stories.
Although by the time Baal and Aym came along... Aza and Keru were long gone.
Narinder would call the boys by their names in the early days.... He did love those girls.
Ouppy dog?
Arf?
Kay, I've finally got through all my backlog of asks. Now I am bored an in need of more enrichment. Ask/req away, my little pretties.
Have any takes/hc for yorabba?? Mine's is that he was one of the lambs allowed to leave Woolhaven since he can easily defend himself (whether it be for missionaries/gathering extra supplies or killing any bishops cultists that get too close to Woolhaven)
Also very much cares for the flock/woolhaven despite being this stoic, gruff man because I love the "warriors have fragile hearts" set anywaaaaaaaaaaaaaay sorry for the sudden blurb
Heheh yes I have a fun few.
Firstly, I hc Yorabba and Chazaq fighting over Koka's affection when they were younger. But when it came to it Yor couldn't deny that Koka loved Chaz. He was hurt, but he knew she was happy. Chazaq gave her a carefree life. Something Yorabba could never offer.
Secondly, Temi is basically his daughter. No you can't fight me on that. Maybe she's an orphan or maybe she just prefers her big, grumpy not-dad. Probably where she got her love of violence from.
Lastly, once Narinder started spending more time with the Woodhaven flock, Yorabba took it upon himself to train the boy how to properly fight. Non of that prissy fencing or any frivolous curses. Just steel and fists. Instead of teaching Nari steps and shit, he basically helped Narinder to train his reflexes and quick-thinking. This later gave Narinder the upper hand against his siblings.
Hiya. 👋🏻(-v-) <- [Benevolent fella.]
I just found your blog—and I’m already in love with everything; your art style, your ‘CotL’ “A.U.” [I don’t know what else to refer to them as] and it’s lore—it’s all amazing.
I was wondering if you could perhaps shine more light on the brothers, Aym and Baal? More so Baal, specifically?
Usually, Baal’s depicted as the more “cordial” one, of the two; from what I’ve seen so far [which—I must confess, isn’t a lot]—depicts him as what Aym usually is… that being—violent, and “kind of” insane.
Is this tied to the substance abuse [which—any additional lore on that, would also be greatly appreciated [E.G. what substances, in particular—and what’re the effects; etcetera…]?
Anyways—I hope the year ahead of you, is a good one; do what you love, and neither lose a positive attitude, nor quit altogether. Good luck. o7
Golly, such praise! Makes me feel bad for leaving this ask on the backburner for so long. But I'm so glad you're enjoying my au, Pantheon, so far.
To answer your question, I made a very conscious choice to subvert the norms of how Baal is portrayed in my story. I usually see people write him as a charming, level-headed golden child. My Baal on the other hand, is much more of a live-wire.
He likes going on missionaries and exploring the world around him. Cliff diving, foraging, or just sunbathing on a hill: Baal doesn't miss a chance to bask in nature's bounties. He's honestly a big tree-hugger.
And while he's no slouch in combat, Baal would rather avoid unnecessary conflict. Not because he's some softy pacifist, he just finds most confrontations boring and tedious. But when it comes down to protective his loved ones or defending their honor, the boy becomes a BEAST. Aym may have a more precise and calculated fighting style, but when Baal pulls up to a fight you're not meeting death in one piece.
As for his partial insanity... that's mostly just a result of his upbringing. Raised in Death's court, father figure was imprisoned, sacrificed to serve aforementioned father for over a century, forced to fight new parental figure cause they refused to give their own life, got thrusted into freedom without his brother, and now that he finally has a moment of rest all the Horrors™ come flooding into his brain full force. That isn't even mentioning the inferiority complex, attachment issues, and various other mental burdens of growing up during the Purge of Gods.
But does Baal tell any of his slew of guardians and parental figures about these issues? HELL NAH!! He'd sooner fight the Bishops of the Old Faith with only a soggy tuna. So, in order to handle his cocktail of anxieties, he indulges himself in whatever substances he can get his paws on. Nothing too extreme at first, just some cat-nip or a few swigs of ale. But as Baal builds up a tolerance to those, he gets increasingly desperate for his next fix.
This escalating addiction causes Baal to become detached, irritable, and neglectful of his responsibilities and personal care. Not to mention the physical harm he's causing his body.
Baal is gonna have a rough go at things as Pantheon goes on, both during and after his substance abuse. But his story in one that I'm looking forward to sharing, coming from a family of drug-users and even knowing some recovering addicts.
Overall, Pantheon is as much a love story as it is an exploration of trauma and how different people approach it. I've never been so invested and proud of a story I'm writing, and I'm so excited to share it with such a supportive community. Thank you all for your patience as I work out my creative prosses and develop my skills. Here's to Pantheon and hopefully many more stories in the future.
Narilamb... you guys can guess who's who

So if Junoe is into wines and Leshy can grow plants on his tail did either, at any point, consider growing grapes on the worm?
It probably got shot down for one reason or another up to, and including, the implications of drinking wine grown out of a worm's butt
You guys are out here weaving gold with every word. And I am a happy hoarder of such treasure.
Let it rip, losers
