My piece for the Dreamworks Story Department’s upcoming Fan Art show. Featuring Chuck Jones’ Rikki Tikki Tavi! This cartoon made such a big impact on me as a kid. I watched it endlessly! Nag and Nagaina vs. Rikki was so gripping. How could anyone take on a cobra!? I feel like it’s hugely responsible for my love of drawing animals. It was so fun rediscovering it again. This is my grandma, Donna Lee Westberg. She loves to garden. She was born deaf. She’s really good at asking me if I have a boyfriend. She signs too fast for me to read, and she yells at me when I try to finger spell everything. She makes me feel loved. She’s the ultimate example to me of courage, strength, graciousness, dedication, and grace. Most of you probably know the sign for “I love you.” 🤟🏻But when I say goodbye to her, she always gives me this sign with an extra “R” thrown in there that stands for “I really love you.” She always made me feel like she made that sign up just for me. With Big Little Lies Season 2 soon upon us, I wanted to share one of my favorite memories: discovering Season 1 on a weekend trip to Boston with my best girls. My friend Gülli was visiting from Germany. We had just gone to the Emmys where Big Little Lies won a bunch of the big awards but none of us had seen it. So we huddled into our Airbnb and watched a couple episodes each night throughout the weekend. Finishing that series was so moving to me. I loved how honestly they portrayed all the women, and it made me so thankful for my own girl squad. ♥️ My plan when doing this was for it to be the start of me drawing all the other inspiring women in my life. I got asked to do the scratch (temp) voice for one of the characters on #croods2. Will I regret this later? PROBABLY. But I had a lot of fun today. Mostly because Joel and @jmercado are the best! 💯 (at Dreamworks Animation)

Now that I’m back at DreamWorks, I figured I’d post some scenes from my ghosts of DreamWorks past! First up is Turbo, the first movie I worked on there. I came aboard pretty late in production, and most of my assignments were little inserts and fixes. This was a small dialogue change within a scene boarded by the great Toby Shelton!
