During the Hay Festival, we are being marked on a little task that involves taking part in activities with children, in order to create sustainable art for the children. Our group has decided to create origami creatures, mainly sea creatures, which we will teach the children throughout the day. Also to accompany them will be some colouring pages and word-searches to give the children more of an idea about what we can do to save those animals. This task will take place on the 30th May, using the make and take tent as an activity sight, where children can come and have a go at making craft using sustainable materials. Down below are some samples that were made by a person in our group, using animals like frogs and fish to have the children make under our supervision. Some of the artwork down below is some of my ideas for colouring pages and some word-searches, using some facts that a child in key stage 2 and 3 would find interesting and fun. In order to create this activity, we have needed a lot of planning in order to get the right amount of research and other related topics to sustainability in order to get the marks. More to come on this, watch this space!
