Sam: So you have all this free time coming up? Whatever should you do... Wanna hang out with me?

Sam: Maybe you need some time away from it all. No idea if that's even possible by now but even if it's for just a few weeks, try and get it out of your mind. It's not good to be in that state of mind all the time.

Sam: I have no idea how people do it. Tho there are some that look like their match worked out really well for them. But that's only a lucky few.

Quinn: I wouldn’t say no to seeing you. I hate I’m in this place where it caused me to stop my education. I have this tremendous mountain of stress placed on me by my father. When he learned I was matched with Marcus Jones you’d think he won the lottery.

Quinn: Usually I’m not one to care about what’s happening outside of me, but all I can think about is sharing my life with someone who I don’t think of in a romantic sense. That bothers me.

Sam: So no more classes for you after winter break? Any idea on what you do want to do right now?

Quinn: Not a single one:

Quinn: This entire marriage contract has placed me in such a bad state of mind. I can’t focus on anything other than I’m to be married to someone and have zero say in the matter.

Quinn: How is anyone to carry on with their lives with such a weight on their shoulders?

Quinn: I think this will be my final semester. As great as this experience was I don’t think it’s the right time for it. Not at this point in my life.

Sam: Too crazy of an idea?

Sam: I wish I knew. I really have no idea what they think or would say if they knew. They always tell me to follow my heart but I doubt they will when it comes to us and our situation. Ugh, January is so close. Too close!

Sam: I don't like it, I know why we have to -cause all hell breaks loose if the counsel finds out about it if you're married- but it's so hard to not slip up at times.

Quinn: Given the timing it's not a good idea. You're sweet, Sam. Truly. If it was a year ago then I would have considered it.

Quinn: We've looked at the options and there aren't many. The jail time is extreme and as much money as I have I don't have anywhere close to the buy out amount.

Quinn: I feel defeated.

Sam: Ah, I understand. Yeah, I can see how holidays are no fun when your family isn't together and you get reminded on it all through the holidays.

Sam: You know you're welcome to spend thanksgiving with the Evans, if that's something you want to do.

Sam: Or... you can skip town/thanksgiving and go to your beach house and take me with you ;) Just a suggestion.

Quinn: Thanksgiving with your family?

Quinn: What would they think if they knew the feelings we have for each other. Or that I'm to be married by January?

Quinn: I hate we have to keep what we have a secret. It makes things such as this hard to do.

Sam: Family dinner at my grandparents place.

Sam: But those plans can still change if needed. Why?

Quinn: Curious.

Quinn: I don't like the holidays. They're an ugly reminder my family is split. I imagine there are those who wouldn't mind two Thanksgivings or Christmas but I prefer the one.

Quinn: I haven't decided if I plan to go to my beach house or stay here for Thanksgiving.

Quinn: What are your plans?

[PM from Quinn]: I heard through the grapevine you returned to Lima a few weeks ago. What prompted you to come back?

Steve: For ones the grapevine is correct, I am back. The short answer to that question is; keeping the family business running and, unfortunately, being rematched.

Steve: They reminded me that my first marriage got annulled and according to them that means I still owe them those 3 years. 

I call BS and am going to have people looking at the law, see if there is anything that we can do against it. There must be something. I hope.   

Quinn: Does this mean if any of the marriages don’t work out, due to death or infidelity, we will have to do time over again or make up for the remainder? 

This is is ridiculous! We did not ask for this. I never understood why we have to pay with our bodies. Our mentality. Our right to choose who we want. This should go on the people who forced this on us. Their children.

Please do and let me know as soon as you hear anything. You can team with my sister.

Go with your gut, it always works for me. Well not always but you know what I mean. Take a break and recharge so you can go back to studying with some new energy tomorrow.

Deal, we’ll declare this day ‘no talks about arrangements day and talk about everything but that. Though before we do that I wanna say that I’m sorry they are like that, it must be the worst. Okay, now my lips are sealed and no more talk about you know what. 

You know I won’t say no to a daily selfie. Try to add variety to it so it’s not basically the same picture with a different background. If you actually live here it would be better to see you in person instead of relying on a picture.

Now some time passed we can talk about it. You can unseal your lips. There are worst things, I need to keep that in mind. Marcus isn’t awful.

Oh, not at all – if that’s the wedding they want, that’s absolutely what they should have. It just shouldn’t be pressure from the Council that dictates the whole feel of the wedding, you know? Making them mandatory and within a set time limit is already bad enough. I’m sorry, Quinn – Clay and I wanted this, and so do Kurt and Blaine, so I have to imagine that just makes it harder.

It is bad enough. It makes these marriages feel like a vehicle registration or filing taxes. It does and since nothing can be done to fight it I have to accept it. Marcus isn’t a bad man. In fact, there is a sweetness to him and he’s rather successful and understanding. We fell into a bad place and I do want to try to repair our relationship.

I know I know, after the annulment I took a few months of me time, but I am back and just in time for the Holidays! There are some great events coming up so look out for them. Anyways what have I missed and also sorry for not keeping in touch…I will be better.

With the annulment does this mean you’re to be matched again? That’s what happened with Steven. Would surprise me if you don’t.

[Private:] If that’s what’s least stressful for you, and you don’t have any attachment to the details, I don’t see why not. I mean, this marriage would mostly be for your parents anyway, it sounds like – so it makes perfect sense for them to do the heavy lifting with planning, when you put it like that.

…Sam? Oh man. I mean, Kat’s great and I’m pretty damn lucky I’ll get to have her as a sister-in-law – but if the spark isn’t there between her and Sam, it’s not really something that can be forced, so I understand that much. This is such a mess, I really hate that for you guys.

[Private: ] As much as I don’t like placing something like this on someone else, this is the exception. Marcus and I aren’t too thrilled when it comes to our arrangement or the fact we have to marry before the upcoming deadline.

Quinn: I hope mom hasn’t tried to recruit you into the wedding planning. She and Amelia Jones have taken over.

Thanks, Quinn. I figure if we threw the Council for a bit of a loop by not going traditional and super-serious, then mission accomplished. And traditional and super-serious wouldn’t feel like us anyway.

With the way you word that it’s as if the traditional wedding isn’t one people should go for. Not when it comes to appeasing the council’s vision for these arrangements. I consider myself one who prefers a traditional style. If I’m into it. I can’t see myself caring much about the one I’m forced to plan and have by January.

[PM from Quinn] I’ve decided I don’t want to study anymore. The time change has thrown my internal clock off and I swear it feels as if time has slowed to a crawl. It could be mental fatigue.

[pm] Do you want my serious motivational speech? something like… Come on, Q. You got this. You’re so close to finishing, any minute not spend studying will only make for it taking longer to get to that finish line… Or my procrastinating speech? It sure sounds like you need a break. I’m up for keeping you distracted for a while.

[pm] The motivational speech is the one I should encourage, but I rather procrastinate for the remainder of the day. Which I decided on this morning when I woke up. There is nothing wrong with taking a mental day.

What are your plans for today? Do you want to meet for lunch? I feel as if I haven’t seen you in a week.

Also, lets not talk about arrangements today. My mother has turned into a monster and Amelia Jones is fueling that fire. That’s the most you’ll get from me. Tomorrow you can ask all you want.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m so happy Halloween is over and done with. It’s probably my least favorite holiday. Now I can prepare for the real holiday coming up. Thanksgiving. And for all of you that are putting up Christmas decorations hold your horses.

I’m with you on Halloween. It’s fine for the most part but I prefer Christmas. Don’t worry, the decorations are still in the box. I’m one who doesn’t set them out until the day after Thanksgiving.

Well, I hope everybody had a fun and safe halloween. I had to work, so it wasn’t as fun for me as everybody else. Though, I did enjoy seeing all of your costumes! 

I didn’t do anything on the actual day but had a chance to celebrate it late at a wedding of all places. Were you allowed to wear a costume at the hospital?
