The cumulative stress of recovering from the wedding and launching straight into exams had had itās toll on Dominique. She came out of the exam hall tired and drained, wishing she could go back and correct the mistakes she already knew sheād made. Concentration had been an issue for her lately.
āWell, I donāt think that could possibly have gone any worse. And Iām going to have to wait until the end of summer to find out and itās unbearable. Why canāt they just tell me now that Iāve failed and have it over with? I need a drink. And plans for summer.ā
ā You can always tell people you did great. Tell your parents that, they buy you presents and you can have a great summer. And then when you grades come and if they are bad, you just say you donāt understand what is happening.ā
