Hi there rotomblr, I’m Helen Barnes, a trainer I guess from Lumiose, nice to meet you guys
So far all I have is my Froakie, Dewdrop, but I’m hoping to get more Pokemon maybe
I live with my mom in Lumiose and have never really left the city before, so don’t know much about outside it I technically have an older brother but that’s like really complicated and he doesn’t consider me family so

No inlaws to speak of really, none that are present, and her wife is…overly energetic but great other than that!

Sometimes, you just have to smile and feign interest even if you have no idea what they're on about. Phi would always go on these tangents about the silliest of things, but I found I was just happy to listen because it made her happy...
It’s not that I’m disinterested, more so just…shocked? I wasn’t expecting it, to put it simply, and I feel like just pretending to get it might not be the best way to go about things?
Ah, I see I misunderstood. Well, in that case just be yourself and don't be afraid to ask all the questions ever. Just listening and engaging is enough. They clearly enjoy your company as is so I see no reason to do anything different.
Knowing what to do and actually doing things are unfortunately not easy to get a hang of…and I wouldn’t be so sure about that last bit

I'm an ice type trainer who lucked into two dragon types who wont leave my ice type alone lmao

Tart, or how ive been calling him, appy because i forgot his name for a while, is the applin and goomy is Claire! Theyre weirdos and love the cold and are the reason we have child locks on the windows in my bedrooms now during winter.
Tart is worse considering he's dragon/grass type! He's double weak to ice types andnyet both of them are obessed with cryo, whose very good with both of them, likely because he's known me since i was at the 'grabby and touchy' phase when i was 9.
.... i dont know if i coukd call myself an ice specialist, i just looked into them heavily for 8 years before suddenly getting claire and Tart within a month of each other in 2023(i think).
It’s kinda funny really, I know someone who was going to be a water type specialist and just ended up getting Pokémon of varying typings through a series of several coincidences. These things work out in the oddest ways sometimes

I've two Dragon Types, and three dragons total. That would be Achilles, my Dragapult, Marie, my Haxorus, and the ever beloved Sol, my Charizard.
Achilles is a darling, but he's a tendency to act like he's still the size of my hand. A darling, nonetheless.
Marie is a tough girl, that's for certain. She's ruined quite a few attempts at my title, and I couldn't be more proud of her. She's a bit aggressive for a Haxorus, but every Pokémon is different! She's still quite sweet when she wants to be.
Sol is my first partner, and an absolute sweetheart. He's awful strict, sometimes, but he's a good lad. I wouldn't be where I am now without him!
They all sound amazing! I have a Haxorus myself, Hatchet, and she’s just the sweetest for such a big mon
Rather cool that you have a Charizard, have you ever mega evolved him?
Haxorus are so lovely. It'd be nice to have another for Marie to bond with, really, but I don't think she'd take to it. Not the most social, she is.
I can't say that I have, though I would absolutely love to try that some day. No, if we're firing up a battle, it's with Gigantamax, haha!
That’s the Galarian battle gimmick isn’t it? I was raised in Unova so battle gimmicks aren’t exactly my area of knowledge, but it’s always fun to hear about others using them

Hm... Dragons. I don't have any of my own, though I've always wanted something from the Dreepy line. I never found one I quite bonded with. But I can give you an old story that might interest you.
Their once was a little girl. She found herself cursed by the might of Arceus with a terrible misfortune that befell all she came close to, and so she withdrew from the world. And so the girl wandered alone - to keep others safe or because it was too late for her to save them. Who knows?
By some stroke of luck, Arceus' own partner in creation - a Mew- took pity on the poor girl and went against Arceus to make a creation. A mighty Pokémon with bladed scales sharp enough to destroy even the thickest armor. Yet, though ferocious, the Pokemon possessed a heart full of loyalty and a will to protect its family at any cost. While these Pokémon are ferocious and never back down from a fight, they live in isolation with their family and have grown out of unbiased rage and a bond stronger than any fury.
Through a twist of Fate Mew, the little girl met with one of these Pokémon. A Kommo-o who would normally attack a human for trespassing on it's grounds but this one did something strange - it took her in. It cared for her as if she were its own kin, wrapping her in a world of protection and love. The Kommo-o, in its quiet wisdom, fashioned a single scale into a pendant, a token of its care. Under the protection of this mighty creature, the girl flourished, growing strong in spirit and heart. Though eventually it became apparent the girl needed more- she needed her own kind. And so Fate ripped the girl from her Pokémon mother and left her with humanity who she had forsaken. All so she could further flourish as she was meant to belong.
And, uh, that's why Kommo-o are so biased towards weak things. They won't attack the weak. Got any questions or anything?
Hm, I don’t think I’ve heard that one before, at least not that particular version, which just surprises me because I think I read just about every book on dragon type Pokemon the existed in Castelia when I was growing up
