An Author's Note...

Here we are at last, you and us, on the last blog post. Am I feeling a little sentimental after an entire year of sharing this mad blogging rp adventure with @liv-chenka? Yes, totally! It's been truly mad for me, writing Helen, The Red Lady, Tania and many others.

There have been feelings from all over the spectrum but eventually it was a journey I am glad we took. There have been many adventures from start to finish... the Paris trip, The Red Lady's Halloween, and the girls getting together with an improvised engagement to boot. Those are mere highlights and all of them have been fun. Watching it all unfold and the community engage with it has been more than we could have hoped for when we started.

I want to give a massive thank you to everyone who has interacted with or has otherwise enjoyed this blog over the year. The blogs will be staying up as an archive to browse through, unedited and complete. A testament of our love for these characters and the community that loves them.

To my dear friend @riversofmars: this wouldn't nearly have been as much fun as it has been without you. Thank you for sharing in the mad adventure that has been this year-long gag... which unexpectedly turned into something amazing. Thank you for being the Liv to my Helen.

What a year it has been, but the time has come to go again. I'm glad, even if it means saying goodbye to new friends.

I've missed the universe and the adventures. Thank you to the few friends we've made and the encouragement from everyone on this app, too. Maybe some day we'll be back, but for now, we'll be setting off once again, together ❤️

Heya there, is there a word in Sumerian that describes someone as kind? Or just any word that means that the person is generous, nice or sweet.

Hello! The most general word for the concept you're looking for is sag, which is written any of several ways in cuneiform. The ePSD combines these into one entry, meaning "good, sweet, beautiful, favorable (of an omen)" as well as corresponding noun and verb meanings. Halloran (2006) keeps them separate, however, with sag 𒅆𒂟 meaning "kind, mild, sweet, good", sag 𒊷 meaning "good, pleasant, sweet, beautiful, fruitful", and sag 𒆗 meaning "pleasing, valuable". All three are used often, so you can pick your favorite or whichever matches closest!

There's also a word I love, kiduru, that means "generosity" or "land that remains damp after flooding". It's written 𒆠𒀀 in cuneiform.
