So...completely slipped my mind to post the closing date for video/audio submissions.

The closing date is May 20th (that will then give me enough time to edit things)

Okay guys, here is what you have to do.

With the submissions made we were able to mix and match and recreate the lyrics in to a Helena theme. and now helenasits, you are tasked to record yourself singign these new lyrics in order to create a video for Helena’s birthday which is coming up soon!(this can just be an audio or can be an audio/visual- your choice)

You also have the choice to either sing your favourite bit of the song or the whole thing, once you have finished recording please send the video clips to [email protected]. I will then edit all of the submissions together creating a compilation video of people singing. 

(depending on how many people take part there is likely to be 2 or more videos of the song to make sure everyone is featured!)

I am sure nobody is a terrible singer :) Iif people are just ending audio clips and not visual these will be when pictures/videos of helena are incorporated. During the instrumental there will also be a montage of Helena clips to enjoy :D

FAO: Selection/Judging Panel HBC Birthday Project 2013

All of the judges should have received 2 messages from me by now

1 with lyrics one with a message about them. If i have sent one but not the other then please let me know. I have been at this for the last 2 hours and have kind of lost track!

If I have forgotten anyone then please tell me! and I am sorry if I have forgotten you, some were sent via email some on here!

FAO: Judges/Selection Panel of the HBC Birthday Project 2013

Hey Judges!

Welcome to the judging panel for the HBC Birthday Project 2013!

You can follow new posts for the project using  #hbc birthday project 2013 , anything I post regarding the project will be posted there and some of it will be specifically regarding the judging so keep a look out!

Here is how this shindig will go down.

 By request, I have extended the submission closing date for lyrics until Friday 5th April.

On the 6th and 7th I will be sending out the submissions for all judges to look over and calling a small ‘tumblr conference’ on Sunday 8th to discuss the entries and our opinion on what we feel will be appropriate to use in the final product of the helenaists performing the song for YouTube.

I am aware that some of us are in different timezones and no time will be convenient for all so on this note if you are all comfortable to give me your email addresses this could help with the sending out of lyrics and feedback of opinions. This is up to you of course, if you would rather our communication was just tumblr based this is fine J

If any of you have questions about anything else regarding judging feel free to drop me a post.

I will probably post a more in depth run down next week.

P.S. As I posted previously, being part of the panel does not exclude you from submitting some lyrics yourself if you wish to, it will mean that when it comes to discussing your lyrics you will not be involved in that particular discussion, a guest judge will be used in your place only in these instances. So please, feel free to submit lyrics too! :D

By request, the submission date for lyric submissions has been extended. The new closing date is not friday 5th april, I repeat, the new closing date is FRIDAY 5TH APRIL at let's say... 11pm BST (that is British Summer Time)

I have had some submissions already and they are great, I am looking forward to seeing what more there is to come :)

Does being on the panel make the judges exempt from submitting lyrics?

You ask a good question anon, it is something I had been thinking about...

I personally see no reason why they can't still submit lyrics. It will mean however that in that instance they are excluded from any decisions made over the use of their lyrics. The other judges will make the decision. 

In these instances, a guest judge will become involved as to make it fair (so all lyric submissions go through 8 judges)
