To keep Tumblr as a safe space for the artistic community to share their work with peers, fans, friends, etc TAG & SOURCE everything! I found out that someone has been ripping my work off and I can’t even find the artist because the work has been passed around from blog to blog with no information or sourcing go on.
Artists spend YEARS cultivating, nurturing, practicing and honing their craft and for folks to steal their work and claim it as their own because they found it on the internet is absolutely ridiculous.
Be kind. Yes, the art, photos, gifs etc. are all great to scroll through, but each and every one belong to someone. Do your part! Take a second and source it, so artists get proper credit.
PS. If you can figure out who is stealing my work that would be great!
