i’m writing up an outer banks astrology thing and this is a LOT more work than expected. i want it to be as realistic as possible so i’m creating charts for them. i think Kie, Sarah, and JJ were the easiest to figure out, but I’m still struggling with JB. hey guys! i’m sorry if this sounds rude or mean, i really don’t intend for it to, but can you please stop tagging fics as “(insert character) x reader” if it’s not the character featured. the pope heyward x reader tag is FLOODED with jj and rafe fics, and i understand that you want people to read your fics, but it’s incredibly frustrating to be looking for pope fics only to see jj fics. when i want to read jj x reader fics, i go to the jj maybank x reader tag. my apologies if this comes off as rude, it’s just very frustrating.

i’m………. having thoughts. i am a very big proponent of this story (it was the first time my writing was ever acknowledged on a large scale) and it’s also sort of like my baby. i had to stop writing after i hit a major writer’s block, and the story has been left on a cliffhanger for almost a year.

so, basically, here’s my idea:

there’s absolutely no way to retain all of the readers from the original days of my series. as you progressively read the story, you see how the number of notes PLUMMETS with each chapter, which was due to how sporadically i wrote them and how inconsistently they were published (there were month long hiatuses between a few of the chapters……. it was bad). so what if completely rewrote the old chapters and continued on from there?

just to clarify, i would not completely rewrite everything. there would just be more editing and a more consistent feel. thoughts?

if i do decide to open up requests, rules are as follows:

no nsfw — for one, i am seventeen (a minor), who would feel uncomfortable posting sexual things publicly. secondly, i just don’t believe i would feel comfortable writing something sexual, based off of inexperience and awkwardness.

please be kind — depending on inspiration or disconnect with the theme of the request, it may take me a while to write and post it. my apologies about this!

dark themes — i would feel uncomfortable writing certain dark themes such as suicide, self harm, ed, etc. i, as someone who has not experienced these things, feel like i could not write a well done story on these subject matters.

those are the only things i can think of for now, but i may update this later on !! be on the look out for if i decide to open up requests in the future (i will clarify which fandoms i will be opening them up for if i do decide to).

i also LOVE astrology. i got into it a while back and i just find it so incredibly interesting. i’m a gemini sun, aquarius moon, and sagittarius rising if you’re interested in that :)

i was a ballet dancer until about a month ago (rip pogue and the dove era me)

i have been in many fandoms throughout my teenage years, and have written on this blog since i believe 2017 or 2018 (those works have since been deleted)

i ADORE music and you will find that most of my writings have playlists/song inspirations behind them

i am ALWAYS looking for moots/friends !!

my username actually comes from the harry potter series (i do not support jk rowling don’t worry guys) because that’s what my blog was originally for!

I WOULD LIKE TO REITERATE THIS POST FROM LIKE A MONTH AGO BECAUSE AHHHHHH SEASON 2 JULY 30TH !!!!!!!!!!

i cannot express how excited i am for obx tumblr to be active again and fics and stuff omg. if i find the inspiration to i will return to writing for next season :) like i can’t express how fun tumblr was last spring in the obx fandom when there was so much hype and fics getting THOUSANDS of notes and stuff. it definitely helped me get through that part of the pandemic and it was just so much fucking fun meeting so many people and reading so many fics and keeping up with the cast.
