Lately I’ve been inspired by Disney Infinity ‘s art style, I love the simplification, exaggeration and styling consistency they have on the whole toy line. Here’s my take on Indiana Jones (hey, he’s part of Disney now). Here’s hoping they’ll produce a figure of his sometime soon!
30 minutes speedpaints done for the “Daily spitpaint” facebook group. Theme was “Waterfall house”.
A quick Delorean sketch done by memory. Happy belated BTTF day!
As one would say, “lol so randum XD”. Pixel art, study and brain farts
a few photo studies aiming for simplicity and a 2 hours self portrait. Feels good to switch gear from the 3D work and pixel art I’ve been doing professionally as of late.
Changing gears for a bit, doing some line/ graphic novel style work.
An old man sitting in a bench caught my eye on my way to the post office. Got back home, did a sketch, everything went downhill from there.
Some sort of tutorial on how I approach more stylized stuff. This i pretty much my workflow, sometimes I’ll go the extra mile and paint the whole thing to a tighter finish.
This is based of the legend of the Aljubarrota baker, a Portuguese lady that defeated 8 Spanish soldiers on her own that were hiding in her bakery during the Spanish-Portuguese war.
Some quick studies, focusing on shapes. The second batch was leaning towards a more stylized look. Fun fun fun!
Today’s warm-up sketch before diving head up on client work
Some warm-up/ practice for today. Quick movie stills and photo studies, each one took anywhere between 15 to 30 minutes.
a quick freeman sketch from Garou: Mark of the wolves, just for kicks. Drawing skinny people is fun, specially for heavily stylized poses.
quick concept sketch for a surfer dude.
... aaand to finish up the holy DMC trio, here’s my quick take on Vergil. Always thought that he’s a suave mofo.
Bunch of quick masks doodles.
After Dante, a quick redesign of Nero from DMC4. Gave him a younger street-wise look. Quick photobash, didn’t really have much time to do anything much besides this today.
Might go for fan favorite Vergil after this one.
