I'm Helix, I go by they/them, and I'm a queer, disabled and neurodivergent (AuDHD) writer, mainly posting on AO3.

My writing focuses mostly on heavy topics (with hurt/comfort and angst being one of my most used tags). I delve into a lot of character studies and I like to dip my toes into headcanons and fanons.

This one did make me cry a little. It hit a bit closer home than Long-Term Sequelae, most likely because of the emotional impact and implications.

I hope that if you do read it, you'll enjoy this angsty piece. I had a lot of fun writing Simon. I might do it again.

I'm working on a middle-of-the-night inspiration fanfic.

BloodyMary of course.

Did the author cry a little writing it? Mmmaybe.

Did it make author's chest hurt a little? Perhaps...

Does the author regret it? Not at all.

You can expect a new one chapter fic this Tuesday. It is a separate title from my last WIP writing post.

That being said, I need to find beta readers, so if you have some experience beta reading and would love to help a non-English, broke, and heavily angsty writer, I would love to have your opinion on my work before it releases.

The WIP title for the fanfic is Gracious, but I already have a better, more heartbreaking idea.

This was undeniably one of my favourite scene from the book, alongside Grace's memory of being told he's going to space, him making the decision to turn around for Rocky, and of course the very last chapter.

I like a bit of hurt/comfort, sue me, but this is amazing...

Like every BloodyMary fanfic writer, I have to had my own "first meeting" fanfiction. I'm hoping to approach it from a different perspective, and all I can say for now is:

I'm currently writing a 3rd chapter. Once I'm done, 1st chapter will be posted. I hope to publish it early next week. I need to lock in and beta read it (it's difficult when English isn't your first language).

I am slowly coming up with the ending too. I like to have my stories prepared but I'm always open to unplanned changes.

Summary: Hunger fades. The body adapts. Food becomes a concept. But even on Erid, where food is plentiful, some instincts don't disappear. Recovery marks the onset of starvation's long-term sequelae. or Ryland doesn't want to admit he is sick.

While it's not my first fanfiction, it is first one public from Project Hail Mary fandom.
