Oh how I could use a good steak.
That’s an iffy response there. The owner of the junkyard would be myself. You intrigue me, so I think I’ll grant you permission. If you tell me what you’re actually up to.
Plutonium? And what exactly would you need that for?
I'm searching for a way to create a new, superior, species. One that can hopefully protect my family when I'm gone.
In case I ever need to send a miniature nuke to someone.
Research, right. Are you one of those that’s trying to find the cure to this whole zombie thing? Well, the junkyard has a hell of a lot of stuff that’s untouched and in mint condition. But if you want to even think of stepping in there, you gotta get permission from the owner of the junkyard.
That’s what I always say. Don’t send an idiot to do a job that you could get done quicker.
Sure, we'll go with that. I'm a cure researcher. And who is the owner of the junkyard? I'll gladly pay for whatever I find.
Exactly. But, there's only so much some people can do. Especially if I'm asking for plutonium.
Why are the damn things so important anyways? But I’m sure there are some around. You just have to know where to look, and have an eye that catches anything. So snap out of the whining and keep on looking for this thing you need.
What, we’re supposed to provide everything now? Can’t say I’d trust zombies with chemicals.Or around people.
They're important for my research, to let you know. But I wouldn't expect half the people here to understand a word out of my mouth. I'd love to know where to look if you had any sort of pointers; I'd be on my way.
No, humans could provide some things, too. Either one could get me the things I need. Though, if I want something done right I need to do it myself.
In an Apocalypse, obviously.
It's not like the zombies use them so I should at least be able to find one -- somewhere. There has to be one. I'm tired of squinting. It's the most tedious thing to stare into my samples while I'm trying to study them and I can't even see the thing I'm studying.
The least the zombies could do is provide me some chemicals -- I feel the need to blow something up.
I need a damned microscope -- is that so much to ask?

Before the outbreak:
Jumba always thought he was ahead of the curve. He did whatever he wanted, no matter what people thought, because he figured he deserved it. He was teased often as a child for being odd, but his intelligence could not be denied. His papers were always highly lauded by teachers and there wasn’t a science fair he participated in that he didn’t walk away from with an award. He made friends in fellow misfits Stitch and Pleakly, and planned on changing the world with his work.
After the outbreak:
Jumba was out doing research in the woods for some grand experiment when the outbreak began. Although he and Pleakly made it to safety, their friend Stitch fell victim to the curse. They immediately set out to find the boy with hopes of saving him. When they discovered him taking care of a girl he claimed was his new ohana, they knew that they had to work quickly. They snatched up their friend and brought him back to their lab. It was then that Stitch bit Jumba and escaped while his old friend tended the wound. Jumba still wants to help Stitch and continues his scientific work, but with his memories failing, it’s getting harder and harder to run tests without failure.
