There's an interesting parallel shot in Episode 4 that I always enjoy. When Vox gets out of bed with his dick/s out, Alastor gives him clear "no" body language. However, when Vox twirls him hard and starts his song, he gets a twitch of a smile. A "yes"

The first shot where he gets out of bed and Alastor says NOPE very clearly and the second where you can see him squeeze his expression VERY subtly in a smile. Its hard to see its a few delicate frames but its there.

Its still in the works! I've been running a writing event this month so haven't had time to do what I'm dying to. It's getting started this week though!

Alastor in Husk's flashback in episode 4 is the King of Spades. This is interesting to me because this card is also synonymous with the King of Swords in tarot, a card that basically defines mastery/control over emotion.

The good version of the card is like, clarity, intellect, authority and truth, but inverse its also like, potential misuse of power, manipulation, showing off. It can be inflexibility too, which I'd say for Alastor has DEFINITELY fucked him over more than once.

The king of swords also appears front facing the way alastor does here with his staff as the sword.

The card versions of chars we see in the series have interesting meanings to them, here's one for Lucifer

We see Lucifer represented as the Ace of Hearts in his transition shot during Hells Greatest Dad. In tarot this correlates to the Ace of Cups. This is an interesting but VERY fitting one for Lu I think in both readings of the card.

The ace of cups is like THE emotional renewal, love and spiritual awakening card. Its a new like, beginnings card. Reversed its like, emotional problems, breakups. It's like sadness/pain/bad news. Like not wanting to socialise, but upright its like meeting new people, finding new love.

Its so tightly tied to family it can be like a representation of him reconnecting with his daughter, overcoming his own isolation or even grander themes of new relationships, new friends etc. It's a fun card, this is one I'd actually say was worth digging into for #radioapple folks for the ship!

HOWEVER there are other cards for Lu! He gets THREE but the middle one we can't see properly is spades, we can't tell what number it is 100 percent. The last is a Jack of Clubs, this one could be the page of wands

This cards like, EXCITEMENT, AMBITION, ENTHUSIASM, all things I think that Lucifer has in absolute spades. Its new passions and adventures, however its negatives are being gullible, hasty, lazy, spoiled etc. Its all the negative elements of that "beginner" mindset. It can mean lost passion too.

I think for Lu all of these things can also apply to different measures in the character on a fundamental kind of level.

Its impossible to tell for CERTAIN but I'm going to say based on the bottom part this one is actually the King of Spades TOO this is super interesting as this is what Alastor is shown with in Husks flashback below! Both of them seem to be DEEPLY suppressing their emotions!
