Day 2 from Slaughterville
I'm gonna try a journal. Hi journal!
So, the other day... okay, yesterday, we found the elves in the southern forests. Or at least some of them. They were stone-petrified, so Rastafar checked and said it was a half-done spell. There was also a big sand pool with SOMETHING in it.
Wee hours of the morning, and out of the pool comes... a dumb-as-earth half-orc druid. Apparently, he had been running around as a BASILISK. (._.) The elves were set free, and the druid left. Our rogue had to reset the traps he undid to get us in here.
It so happens that the elves are "Earth-aligned", and the fighter wanted in on it. He went through the initiation process, while everyone else got more organized. Rez, the ranger, decided to take a look in the pool, and I think he had a vision. Then the dwarf tried his luck, so I tried mine as well.
I got to speak with my goddess, Felimath. She said I could ask two questions. My first one was on when we're going east. My second... I didn't have one, so I asked for a hug instead. It was like being wrapped in soft, warm blankets. Then, she gave me a quest: find the Blade of Autumn Leaves, and attune it to her. It's in the same forest as we are.
I came out a little after that, to find out two things: One, I have Felimath's divine favor upon me for at least a week. Two, I am the owner of a deity-made necklace. It consists of a silver chain, with a sword-shaped pendant also of silver. The elves' wizard and our cleric worked out that the pendant is holy, and attuned to me. It's also shaped as the very blade I now seek.
We had a small scuffle with some shock lizards who were using the sand pool for breeding. During said scuffle, I triggered the area entrance trap, which appeared to summon a dryad to take care of unwanted guests. We killed her and three of the lizards; the fourth one is with the clutch of eggs in the pool.
Almost forgot: Rastafar, the party wizard, is solely out for his own gain. The (presumably) elemental beings of the pool didn't care for it. He took one accidental look, and got sucked in. We're all pretty sure he got "punchies" and "kickies" and "whippies" and all sorts of similar things... He's still pouting. It's funny.
